My family worships Panjurli, and while I watched this film, I experienced the same divine presence. People in Bangalore who had no ties to the coastal culture actually felt the heavenly presence, which shocked me. An absolute masterpiece. As a guy from Tulunadu ,where bhoota kola's are performed, i don't think dubbing can bring the same impact as compared to original. Also you need to have to have atleast little knowledge about our daivas like panjurli and guliga to understand and feel full impact of the movie. I m Telugu, the same culture is in every region. There is KulaDaivam in each corner of India. There are traditional festivals all over India, which are revolved around their KulaDaivam. The same has been shown in the movie, due to which every Indian is connecting genetically. This is in our genes, so it made goosebumps at divine scenes.

My point is South didn’t see the wave after wave of invasions that North did over 1000yrs, since geographically we were more protected. Its a matter of degrees… North suffered much more… look at how few historic temples remain there compared to south?
