Been in love with Finnish music and folk music as long as I can remember. But I have never seen a Kantele and wow, its like all the prettiest parts of a Zither. Just lovely. Great work stranger, all the way from Scotland.

Why in the heck do we call you "Finland" if you call yourselves "Suomi"? English is confusing...

@@raniaden I’m not sure! If I am not mistaken, the reason we call Finland ”Suomi” is because it translates to ”swamp land” lol ”suo” being swamp and ”mi” deriving from ”maa” which means land. It’s the same with Germany for example. germans call Germany ”Deutschland” which I think translates to ”the land of our people”. I have no idea *why* the english names are what they are though!

kaef thank you! I use 3 chords (see the link pin.it/pp2scc35fzyxwy ), I play arpeggios with my right hand, I play a melody with my left hand. Try to watch the video in slow motion to better understand. This should help in learning to play the kantele www.kantele.com/guide.pdf Good luck! :)
