I just started collecting a few weeks ago. Bought some base set cards. Going to be focusing in that binder with a weekly budget. Bought a couple sealed etb and packs for lost origin. Might keep those sealed though

I just started the set 2 days ago, my booster box gave me 13 hits ! I have the full basics set, need most of the SIRs, bought like 20 that I was missing from a guy, in total I’m 42 cards away from finishing my master set !

I’m putting together my first master set and I have to agree with you it really does take a ton of time. Also it’s good that you take your time and cross reference. I was off by one card and it took so much time to move the cards. It was very annoying lol.

So far out of opening 216 packs I pulled the Eevee, Growlith, Infernape sunflowera some of my favorites but only pulled 1 Special illustration out of 5 booster boxes and 3 ETB's ouch lol

One out of all of those boxes! That’s too brutal, pokemon could for sure up it a little. I feel like 1 in 3 booster boxes for an SIR would be fair and keep it fun

Oh man that is indeed tough. I had an ETB and two booster boxes and pulled two. Not sure if I will pick up more sealed stuff at this point. May just wait a bit and then go for singles.

Very nice touch with that purple smoke in the intro! That binder is pretty tight! Not a bad box by any means! You definitely beat the odds with that one pull. I'm kinda mixed about the tougher pull rates. Sure, it makes pulling them feel that much more rewarding but even when it was easier with say... S&V Base. Just because you almost always pull an SIR from a BB, it didn't mean it was THE one you were chasing. It was nice to at least get something for dropping all that coin on 36 packs of shiny cardboard, ya know? Spending $100ish on a BB with recent sets and pulling no SIRs or golds leaves you feeling really defeated.

I buy everything direct from a vendor. the market prices on recent products have been lower then msrp, check out tcgplayer to compare prices and find the best deal.

You probably get 2 pink.3 arts..they have taken the 4 arts away from the set..you normal I say you get 3and you get a full art or gold or Tera.. only 1..most I have seen is 14 hits in booster.20 packs of nothing sounds like the deal these.days ..yeah you gotta chase.agree its not a bad thing..cool video.the talk is what makes it good

I really, really like this set despite the (largely) negative response. Im not going for a master set but continuing my trend of only collecting the IRs (and SIRs if i pull any) from main sets. The only sets i try to master anymore are Special sets, works out oo expensive otherwise. As always though mate, great video n good luck in your quest for the master set!

What penny sleeves would you recommend bro, my 7 year old has just started collecting pokemon and I'm trying to help him do it properly (it's kinda given me the bug too 😂) I've ordered some ultra pro penny sleeves the standard ones, is there much difference between these and the premium ones they sell? Regards Matt It's funny because I'm 40 in August and I was giving him cash to buy packs now I find myself buying packs everytime I'm in the shop buying things lol Edit: also do you penny sleeves evert card prior to putting them in a binder or just the holos, ex's etc?

That’s awesome that you’re collecting with your son! I use Vaultx for all my accessories. I just sleeve the hits above holos for the binder. When it comes to completing the base set, do you need the reverse versions of each card?

I try to go for all the reverse cards for the smaller holiday sets but for the main sets I’m happy with just a full regular set, although I wouldn’t consider it a master set without the reverse holo’s.
