For those wondering, DEVGRU is the elite section of the SEALs known also as SEAL team 6. It is not actually part of the regular teams. It has it's own recruitment selection process and recruits from the regular SEALS. It is classed as a tier 1 special forces unit like the SAS. Regular SEALS is a tier 2 special forces unit.

@doomfathertm87713 жыл бұрын
@@proviatondela5322 Yeah. When I say recruit I mean that they are volunteers, In the UK where I am from it's an interchangeable term, like you recruit volunteers.... SAS / SBS are of course all volunteers but as you know, they can only be taken as recruits / accepted into SAS selection from current military positions with a previous 4 years service. Those that most often pass SAS selection training are those from other elite regiments, in the UK the royal marines and the parachute regiment are classed as elite and themselves have very tough lengthy selection processes.

Hi, I’m a 22 year old woman and I’m training to become a U.S. Navy SEAL. How should a woman prepare for BUD/S? How are women treated in BUD/S? Do you have any advice for preparation? I’m a civilian and I want to go enlisted. According to what some BUD/S dropouts told me, one female SEAL candidate broke her legs in Basic Orientation (BO) which is the first two weeks of BUD/S, another female SEAL candidate broke her legs in BUD/S Prep and a third female SEAL candidate got rolled back in BO for stress fractures. None of them made it. Evan Eichler told me that one of the women he trained was medically dropped from BUD/S because she broke her ankle. According to the SEALSWCC Scout Team, most female SEAL candidates struggle with load bearing and just don’t have enough durability. Women have weaker bones and tendons than men, studies have shown that women develop stress fractures 3x more often than men. Do you have any advice for becoming more durable?

@@Anonymous18817 I'm a big military enthusiast and I'm just going to go based off of what I know. I'm currently not a member of the armed force but I hope I could help you out the best way I can. The main nutrient that your bones need is calcium. Calcium is a nutrient that makes your bones dense and strong. Some foods that are high in calcium are milk, cheese, yogurts, almonds, anything dairy is high in calcium. You should also hit the weight room and start lifting as your body needs to get used to lifting heavy objects. You should try to be able to lift at around twice your body weight You'd also need to get good at pushups, pull ups, and sit ups. The competitive standards for SEAL trainees are 80-100 push-ups, 80-100 sit-ups, 15-20 pull-ups, and a 1 and 1/2 mile run of 9-10 minutes. And that's not only in a day. You would also need to improve your cardio as there's a lot of running and you need to learn how to hold your breath for over 2 minutes, as water is traditionally the main environment for SEALs. In order to get into BUD/S you need to pass the screening, where you'll be examined whether or not you're fit for the program, so I urge you to train intensely for a year before it. Keep in mind that no woman has ever passed BUD/S. BUD/S is physically and mentally rigorous, designed for the strongest and your instructors' main goal would be to make you quit. You'll be pushed past your absolute limits. It is certainly one of the hardest training programs in the world. Another thing to remember is that since 2013, more SEALs have died in training than in combat, according to the Navy SEAL Foundation. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck in your future career goals.

@@Anonymous18817 I have never been a navy seal but I will tell you this. No woman has ever been a Navy SEAL. The training (especially hell week) is insanely difficult. These are some of the toughest men on the planet. Some people even die during training. It's definitely not impossible to become a female navy seal, however it will take insane focus and drive. Instead of looking at it as an impossible task, look at it as an opportunity to follow your dreams. And who knows. Maybe you will become the first female navy seal

Now, when the US drugs gangsters left Afghanistan, the good Taliban have forbidden opium again. Next time you see your American youth getting wasted by drugs on American streets, you think of the US Navy Seals, and how they contributed to this, okay. Are you for real, when did you know a colleague it is obvious you have no siblings...because if you do you will know blood is thicker than water...especially when you have a blood brother or sister who is your best friend one that will ride and die for you that never was in the military but when comes to his family he is ready to take on hulk..be schooled.

I watched so many videos about navy seals, podcasts with navy seals etc.. That I am basically ready to be deployed within 48 hours anywhere in the world either for direct action missions take out some bad guys, rescue hostages or just some fun reconnaissance deep in enemy territory.. So if something comes up just send me e mail. I can't wait..

The best never quit, the baddest never sleep and the toughest will only remain. I thought my training routine was hard as I still fallow the training from when my school forced me and my class into military boot camp for six and a half years, but I've got nothing on these guys damn. No it's no exaggeration and as much as I wanted to quit and give up, i told my self if real soldiers could do it so could I.

Bob by Navy EOD is different from the other branches because although they go through the same explosives training as everyone else they also go through eod dive school so any underwater explosive/threat, they would be the ones that take care of it

@@jaxbliss3652 that sounds extremely technical and tedious, not saying it's not hard or brave, just not exciting. It's like, no one really cares the pilots the fly all these tier guys around actually all are special forces themselves went through special forces training etc, but they just fly helicopters

Best video I've ever seen was the former St6 member DJ Shipley interview on The Shawn Ryan Show. If you can listen to the 4 hour+ interview you'll be speechless afterwards. Not sure how many times I teared up during that interview but at least 3x. Not relevant to this video but at the same time it is since he's a former Seal and it's just an amazing podcast episode. All of the Shawn Ryan shows are great!
