Simplicity wins!! Kids usually will hold on to the things that matter to them the most and I think even with all the money they have, nothing will ever beat just living a regular life with dad. As much fun as dad is, Ye might not let them be as free as we think. I do think he has rules and tells them no to things mom says is ok. Allow me to enlighten, Mel said that her mom let her boyfriend move in with them when she was 17. She then stated this never would've happened if her father was alive. Another example would be Nia Long who bragged about dating a 30+ year old salon owner while in high school. Her dad was also absent. Point being women tend to make bad choices surrounding their teenage daughters. I.E the large number of black families that are all women and children. And before you say what about the men, 80% of babies are made by 20% of the men. Bad boys be leaving.

I hate this argument because it ignores the core differences that persist between men and women. There's the ongoing debate of nature versus nurture and while I do agree that we as guardians play a huge part in the people our children become. That doesn't really mean we are the ultimate decider on how our children develop. Boys, tend to (Key word is tend to) be more active as kids, coming into infancy they run more. They do more physically complex and demanding activities like running. This doesn't mean girls don't like running, but as someone who was raised amongst girls. Often times they'd ask me why I like jumping on my bed, emulating wrestling, jumping off and on the Sofa, playing street football barefooted. They'd argue how I'd get hurt, dirty or sick (all of which happened). Most boys have gone through this throughout their lives and the simple answer is I was a child with lots of energy and no where to put it. Again, not saying girls haven't experienced this, I’m saying these are what boys experience more. This need to do crazy physical or even live a somewhat more free life is something even girls, especially girls in their teens wish they could have. The issue is a lot of girls are actively cautious because they developed this for themselves. The need to protect themselves is something you can see in their earlier behaviour again as they mature quicker than men. Another fact that people don't account for, so even active girls calm their behaviours. While boys played games like tag, or dodge ball, girls choose hopscotch or handshake games. Again, understand it's not as if guardians went and told them what games they should play, the different genders came to those decisions on their own. This then carries over into adulthood where as a mother, you still carry that cautious approach to parenting. This is great especially for babies who are extremely vulnerable but once kids get older and as they become teenagers. Fathers absolutely shine with their understanding for the need for freedom, exploration and experience pain/loss. They realise that either their child will be happy doing whatever they like, and in the process may learn a valuable lesson after getting hurt. These are things that a mother struggles to teach their children. Again, I want to emphasise that this isn't black and white and some people are well rounded, they are of all of this and adjusting themselves accordingly. It must be said how fathers tend to never accept their daughters growing up and becoming adults, seeing them as little girls. They do this because they want to always protect their daughters which again is the natural instinct of men. Fighting this natural instinct is a big step for fathers similarly to mothers accepting or allowing their children to be more free.

I think dads shelter their daughters too much growing up my dad wasnt super strict like he always wanted us to go out and have fun as kids because thats what he used to do. The way he brought us up was just do good in school, dont be disrespectful, and do whats asked of you. Respectfully, your last sentence contradicted your initial opening. Most fathers are strict as protectors because they know what's out there and know how vulnerable their daughters can be. Same with Mom's normally and their sons. It's an opposite sex thing to me (Daddy's girl - Momma's boy) -- but back to my point, if I took your word at face value that you were good with knowing what guys were on, that's not the rule, it's the exception and the exception don't make the rule. Don’t care if you have money or not, we will figure it out. Our children will be first in our lives. You will love them , cherish them, protect time, there will be no difference between the girl nor the boy, GONE ARE THE CONTROLLING, BRAINING WASHING DAYS, girls being treated different than boys, nor woman/man have different responsibilities with their children. I have daughters were raised the same, and I adjusted based on their characteristics. But they got the same treatment. Because when you do that you create a narrative between the two. And there’s consequences for that.
