it’s about him trying let go of his past demons from when his mother died in 2008 that he never dealt with. and hopefully move forward and try to be able to have a better relationship with his separated wife and children.

kanye has been wearing a mask for the past couple months and hasn’t spoken a word to the public. he has been recreating and reliving the story of dante’s inferno going from hell, purgatory, and heaven. at the end when u see kanye is the first time he has taken of his mask in months right in front of his ex-wife kim in wedding dress representing his heaven, his family.

@w g the main theme is that everybody deserves to find God even if you think it’s too late or everyone else around you thinks it’s too late. kanye’s message is that once they do the time and put in the work their always path open towards God.

@@FilleIceRises the first listen party was bleak and empty with an unfinished album in the background and kanye in a red outfit letting his emotions out even to just his mother name. the representing hell (him before he was a born again christian). then before the listening party he lives stream him living, working, and sleeping in a small room in a huge stadium. he lets people into his process, his work as christian man. then the listening party starts and all you see is his bed and his essential, the music starts playing and the album evolving growing literally while it’s live. in the middle of the party he calls mike dean fix something on the song heaven and hell. this representing purgatory, even while the album was being made he filed to legally change his name to ye, and ye meaning you the most used word in the bible. going from kanye meaning only on to ye meaning you. the third and final listening party he returns to chicago and rebuilds his child hood home his heaven. as he is a born again christian he lets people who are not religious on his mothers porch to representing even if you and everybody around you doesn’t think you can find god know that if you put in the work and do the time you can find your way towards god. he then lights up on fire in his mothers home being reborn, marrying kim moving forward and focusing on his family

Since 2004 to now its rarely that he used autotune besides 808s and heartbreaks and The life of pablo, He always uses his normal voice, and also in this song he uses his normal voice, what he sometimes many times he does with his voice is rerecord over his voice
