I feel like they missed the context of this video. He’s portraying the rapture when Jesus comes back for his people. The pictures shown after is the depiction of life on earth after he brings up the people who love him to heaven. Obviously no one knows what it’ll look like. For those who get risen up with God. It’ll be glorious beyond what we can even imagine or think off for eternity. For those left people. It’s going to be complete chaos. Only those who don’t take the mark of the beast still have an opportunity to be with God. Get right with God. Get saved. Build a relationship with him and spread his love and message of why he came to die for everyone’s sins. If you’re reading this or still breathing. God still wants you to be in his kingdom with him. @@Erica-vt7ou I dont think he is portraying himself as jesus christ or a higher power as we never really see his face also the depections are of the fall of babylon and a lot of the imagery is artwork from the divine comedy, I think what kanye is trying to do is tell people that if we are not careful we wall all fall like babylon. Kanye has talked a lot about how we are all in a matrix and that we need to wake up and break the cycle of our living which is what he may be depicting at the start.

Kanye has had more influence on hip hop music than Eminem. pre 2016 Kanye would put out an album and the entire sound of hiphop would change after that. The amount of influence he has had on the genre is crazy. Even now, he's getting these young rappers rapping about God on his work because that's what he is passionate about and because of how much respect he has in the industry, people follow. And plus Kanye's first 7 albums are among the most well received albums of all time, not just the most well-received rap albums. In spite of Kanye seeming like a bit of a ditz IRL he definitely isn't fucking around when he is producing music.

Don't know if anyone explained this in the comments, but when the song goes into the big visual switch in both the middle and end both of those are based on real life art. The first being the depiction of Heaven in Paradiso, the last part in the Divine Comedy trilogy. The second image is a recreation of The Fall of Babylon. It's amazing how Ye was able fill in so much emotion and meaning into both the video and song. Keep it real guys.
