I think that the whole album is Kanye and Cudi speaking to the younger generation by letting them know that their voice can also be heard. The Ye yelling in 4th Dimension for instance, at least in my opinion, were literal gunshots. The music itself on this album speaks a lot to the message of the album. I think they both wanted to show kids that there is freedom amongst the madness.

@Chrisratata4 жыл бұрын
Some people value the lyrical experience more than the sonic experience - Shawn just seems to be one of those people because he was quite clearly loving the music sonically. Deeper ideology from the lyrics is precisely what he wanted more of; he explained quite clearly his understanding of the theme, he just wanted them to dig into it more...yet he also expressed not being able to fully relate to it well enough for it to truly hit him. I think this is a situation where with the album being directed towards kids that need to feel spoken to the most, Shawn simply literally isn’t and never was one of those kids. Not everyone can relate to the same things.
@simpleysims4 жыл бұрын
Agree. When approaching Cudis music, it's more about melodies, a beat, and humming of course lol. His lyrics arent all that clever but he never tries to be. It's unforced. That's why he's always sounded good behind the mic. It's because he knows what he has to say, when to say it or where and how to say it. With Cudi nowadays, it's 70-30 as far as music to concept goes. It used to be 60-40 in favor of lyrics. But that was during 'A Kid Named Cudi days. After MOTM1, its been all about melody. He explained it clearly during his appearence on Joe Rogan. The music comes first, and that's what drives him to write his lyrics. My goal when listening to a Cudi record is to listen for melody. I try to get lost in the sounds. Its what made MOTM so great! You just got lost in this spacy outer dimensional world, hence the album title. Dot Da Genius, longtime collaberator of Cudder, was all over this Kids See Ghosts record. Thats why its the closest sound to MOTM we've heard. Cudi is back!

I don’t think this is just about bipolar and depression - they both have lost many people, including their parents, and there is a deeper message here of walking around with the ghosts of your loved ones, and childhood dreams, surrounding you. I feel like really listening to Cudi’s portions from hindsight knowing he checked himself into rehab for depression/suicidal thoughts and trying to read into his thought process more will make you like it more. Your opinion is valid obviously, but I feel like you’re missing all the emotional depth that makes the album beautiful and maybe finding an angle to dig deeper will reveal some of its magic to you.

3/7 reaction. Seems like there’s something stopping from enjoying the music. In my opinion this album is beautifully produced and the lyrics are above average. Cud and ye killed this collab. The name behind Kids See Ghost is about the two being haunted by their own personal demons as oppose to being in another dimension, it reflects their fears and taking ownership of those fears. I think Kanye plays to Cudis strength in melodies and creating a mood, he's a transparent lyricist which Kanye disguises by implementing his introspective raps and wit. An experimental album which feels like an 808s/MOTM sequel with pieces of ideas spawn from Indicud, SBTH & PP&DS with a Ye touch which was much needed. It reach my expectation, they created a mood and a trip that made me a fan of their pairing to begin with. 8.5/10

FYI, They misnamed the songs on the album, the names are out of order not songs themselves. The real order is: 1. Feel the Love 2. Fire 3. 4th Dimension 4. Freeee 5. Reborn 6. Kids See Ghosts 7. Cudi Montage
@jacobwoodward17616 жыл бұрын
Just so you know, the tracklist is actually in the wrong order. There were technical difficulties with the official release. So 6/7 of the titles are wrong.

I like that the albums felt like they were based off of an emotion. They’re songs that put forth a feeling for listeners, and it’s important for people to get out their feelings, whether it’s talking, through music, etc. I like getting a better idea of how Kanye and Cudi feel, it kind of brings them down to earth and makes them more relatable.

Another 7 Tracks which involves Kanye, another solid album imo, it has a very spooky and explosive feel that I love and kanye is great, cudi does his thing, the production is great and the album length is perfect for me, doesn't overstay it's welcome, 8/10 So far I got DAYTONA - 8.5/10 Ye - 8.5/10 KIDS SEE GHOSTS - 8/10 What y'all got?

By them saying they are “reborn” means they found God and they say there “free” because they were trapped because they all at one point were lost and on the wrong side, it says it through the hole album idk how you don’t get it, Kanye’s not like that bcuz he’s bipolar and neither is kid cudi they are rapping about there new life of Christianity listen up!
@naruto1coolestfan6 жыл бұрын
u gotta be real blinded to think this is about christianity
@josephwelch42066 жыл бұрын
Jlrsnake13 I’m not saying it’s all about it but it’s pretty obvious the things they are saying is about God, does he not say “I got a Bible by my bed, oh yes I’m very Christain”🤔 if you learn and feel the real meaning of Jesus and Christianity maybe you’ll know
@naruto1coolestfan6 жыл бұрын
if u look at Kanyes real life actions as of recent in the context of the album hes talking about free from societal norms if anything. Hes goin on interviews almost speaking philosphically (almost but not rlly lop), hes never been apologetic but on the album he responds to it in a more loving manner, and on twitter hes posting stuff videos (like 3 hours long) about how such n such keeps the rich rich or watever. I dont rlly remember but basically Kanye was tryna inform ppl thru twitter how a system in the goverment works. Kanye now is what ppl describe as "woke". I think its used improperly most the time but yeah Theres like 3 christian related lines on the album compared to the everything else where hes saying hes more positive and wants to spread positivity. Not Christian related
@josephwelch42066 жыл бұрын
Jlrsnake13 there’s more to it than just saying Jesus and God a lot of things he says in the album connect to knowing God and being Christain and if you really know Kanye like that you know that he got way way closer God bcuz he’s been on the other side you can say, but like I said it’s not all about it but a lot of it is, it can be both Into one 🤷🏼♂️

People stay wanting a message from Kanye, just so they can kill'em for it. He knows his production is his gem. He gave us glossy production on both albums and less of the obnoxious stuff that people tend to judge him for. I can dig this Kanye. I think he realized talking MORE and trying to EXPALIN might go left as well.

Just noticed something watching thru some of your videos. It seems like you raise your eyebrows anytime you’re saying something you know is agreeable, or you’re saying a word that fits comfortably in your sentence. And then your eyebrows pinch anytime you say something that you know might be controversial, but you’re standing on it, or anytime you’re still thinking thru the thought behind the statement. Don’t know how this observation is useful but I figured I’d share.
