I’m old school and had to make beats just with ear lol. But honestly besides that, I play instruments, so I cannot imagine not making instruments with just laptop and mouse. I went from MPC 2000 to now Maschine Mk3. I love being able to jam and feel the beat I am making. My friend uses strictly mouse and keyboard and he puts out bangers! Whatever makes your game shine, I think its all good! 😊

I also looked at MPC's and Drum Machines and couldn't think I could make music with them, but really This instrument really makes you feel like a crafts man, the computer and mouse just does not make you a beatsmith, I cannot wait to get my studio started and purchase one cause when they say "I am good with my hands" this is what they mean...You just feel like you have a lot more control, can splice samples to the exact point where you wan them, you just feel godly touching one of these.

@@AmuMabasa As I mentioned, my friend I feel can imagine how things are going to sound like in his head as a mouse and laptop producer. For me, I need to have access to all trigger-able sounds quick and ready and fingertips. Like playing keys, drums etc. Half the fun for me is jamming out. Again though, I think everyone has their own methods :)
