This cassette in specific was designed for use mainly in prisons, cassettes were the main music format used in prisons and the clear tape was intentional to comply with regulations etc. to prevent smuggling goods in through the cassette tapes and cases. this is why it's so rare/expensive sometimes, it's main intention was just for institutions with the public market second in mind. This is also why cassette making companies are still in business, without prisons we probably wouldn't have cassettes anymore.

really grinded my gears to watch the sticker being taken off, personally I would've cut around or just made a cut to be able to open it on the sticker instead of take it off, thats what I did with my cd.

Cool video man, this is a nice tape. And for some audio freaks out there, notice the VU meter from the player doesn't go loud enough to 0dB. That means the music must be too low and you'd have to increase the, increase the volume, resulting with more background tape noise (hiss). Definitely nothing Hi-Fi but a cool collectionable item for Kanye fans!

Nice, but you should buy some high quality cassette-deck from the past (Technics, Sony, Pioneer, Nakamichi, Akai, Yamaha etc..). The sound will be much better then..

I own a TEAC cassette and CD player combo made in 1995 and still sounds and plays great.

Cool video, but quick suggestion...; Seeing that you're now getting into cassettes, I would recommend you get you a better quality cassette deck in order to get the best sound quality out of cassettes. When I saw your tape player, I cringed for fear that it might destroy your cassette tape. Get one from a more reputable brand name like SONY, Nakamichi, Technics, TEAC or you can do some further research. You don't know what you're missing out... @@UltraBigGaming Cassettes are actually really good quality if on the right type of tape,the idea it sounds bad is from people recording from the radio on cheap tape with a cheap machine hence low quality, CD misses 30% of the audio spectrum as do standard MP3 files.

Good vid but you should do fewer cuts when you are facing the camera, it got to the point where there were multiple cuts in one sentence. If you don't have the confidence to say everything with one take cut to B roll and just play the audio in the background when you think the jump cuts are too much

Your boombox is a terrible one; you can get a ton better quality in older tech; especially Sony Walkman, Aiwa and other tapes
