We all expected him to perform Only One because that was all what he was performing at the time. He talked about this song in interviews and was fully intending on releasing it as a single but never did. So it was a huge surprise to see him perform this at the BRITs cause no one saw it coming. The song still wasn’t out. I believe if you go back and listen to the song you can hear this same performance being sampled cause Kanye was still working on it.
