Of course the ending is left open for the audience. My guess is that the last scene where a cart of furniture arrives at the gate of Neeru's house, indicates that the furniture in the drawing room will be replaced by the furniture brought on the cart. Accordingly, the Bed under which Mannu has hidden the Letter will be taken away. Leading to a hint that the the Letter will not reach Neeru and she will never find that Mannu knows her real condition. She will continue to think that she came to know the actual condition of Mannu but Mannu does not know her bad situation. Reference - A scene where Landlord (played by Annu Kapoor) tells Mannu that on daily basis the new furniture comes in and the earlier furniture is taken away for shooting purpose.

In the last scene if you observe you can see that there was very bright light peaking through the window. And there was no electricity in the house.I guess Neeru did commit suicide as the landlord said 'gaslight dalke jaab khudko jaladegi tab bulaungi police' to Manoj. It's just an observation, I could be wrong.
