Lake..... Das ist eine unglaubliche Geschichte aus der deutschen Rockmusik Szene. Internationale Musiker agieren seit der Gründung der Band aus Deutschland heraus. Die für mich beste Zeit habe ich life und Hautnah erlebt: Erste LP (On the run) und life in der Hamburger Fabrik. Der Chorgesang viel mir damals schon auf wurde aber leider nie wieder, in meine Augen erreicht. Ansonsten steht LAKE fast schon für ein langjähriges "Musikprojekt", welches man immer wieder hören und sehen möchte ! Danke !!!!

Lake are my favorite band or one of the top favorite bands for me. Why they never made it in America is quite an easy and sad question to answer I'm afraid. Most of us aren't like me and would have been too stupid and closeminded to know how good there are! Our idea of slick rock is crap compared to bands like Lake, Lucifer's Friend, all the British bands and European bands I could mention. There were great bands in Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland and not one of them made it here or even got released here! European music, British music, good American music it doesn't sell here except for a lucky select few which I think are bands like Toto, Journey, Foreigner, the more obvious bands like The Beatles do I need to mention? We were asleep when the British invasion hit and it hit us like a storm although I wasn't there to experience it firsthand. Then you had Deep Purple, all those obvious ones. Queen. But Lake weren't well promoted. And they had a more blatantly European sound.
