I had the rd 250 and ported that baby so much there wasnt much cylinder left ! superlight and fast bikes that were giant killers back in the day...

You make a 350 look like an rd125 twin,, great collection of cracking two stroke motor cycles,, you certainly know what the subject is on the videos,, from Northern Ireland greatly appreciated ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️

I had the later 1980 model white 400G Daytona Special back in the day..Rode it a few years till it got stolen..Then I bought the 1982 LC350J to replace it and an 1985 RZ350YPVS after that..Wish I kept them all knowing how much they are all sort after these days.

Had a 1974 RD350 that I think I got from my Dad back in the 80's, wasn't very highway fast topped out at about 80mph or so but it sure got there in a hurry! 1st gear was creeper and when you hit 2nd and 3rd you were gone. Don't think it was electronic ignition as I remember having trouble with the points. also had trouble with the 2 stroke oil injection. Very fun bike to ride!

Great bike. I bout a brown RD250 about 74 my second Yamaha from there an RD400 then to bigger 4 strokes seca 550 and 900. Although the XJ 900 was much faster the 250 was the most fun. Power wheelies in 3rd. Amazing fun but sitting on the gas tank was the only way to launch it hard. I won my class at the strip in Haynesville LA every weekend. You could ride that thing on the back wheel all the way down the 1/4 mile strip and still win. Torque induction was a great improvement over the piston port R5. 6 gears made it even better. If you turn the injection pump down after break in and use a high quality oil you can almost eliminate the smoke and get even more power. A little piston and port work is easy and extremely rewarding but don’t get carried away.

Tervehdys teille sinne Atlannin toiselle puolelle. Teette hienoja videoita! Rd 350 on minun kirkas suosikki !

Had 2 of these 350s , one that colour and the other one was green. I then got a red RD400 that I blew up .I bought a 750 Water bottle that I had for ages. I bought a new RD250 LC in 81 , fitted Chambers and rode the arse off it ! Had a lot of 2 Stroke Dirt bikes over the years as well.Sadday when 2 Stroke road bikes were killed off. I notice that Two Stroke Dirt Bikes are being offered again, imagine if someone bought out 350 twin today. I know I would be tested not to buy one.

Factory paint on those bikes didn't have orange peel, it was more like small craft warning. 4ft chop. That paint looks like glass. Yeah the 1st 3 gears always produced wheelies. Coils were the only real problems with these . Were weak by nature. Went out and bought 2 aftermarket Coils and bike would wakeup.

put her on a straight line, turn 4.000 U/Min or better 6.000 U/Min, let the clutch come in, so that it never ever revs under 4.000 U/Min and don´t forget to lean forward, so that the front wheel stays on or at least near the ground. Then you get an idea for what it´s made for.
