That thing is beautiful. I spent a bunch of money on two sets of top of the line metzlers a set for my dyna that are in the garage still,and a set for my cbr which i put on last season. 4k miles the back was showing threads and the front was bald i never had tires wear out so fast,i think they may of been an old batch or defective,i replaced them with a set of shinko the bike rides,handles,grips night and day better then the metzlers ever did,and i paid 150 with tax and shipping for the set ,i paid like 200 for the rear metzler.Im anxious to see how the other set for my harley wear out ill never buy them again anyway but i would like to think there was a flaw in them or something.

Nope if you bought Metzler designed for the CBR , 4k miles is about right .. and not much tread grooves but mostly like a road racing slick cuz that's what they are ...very soft compound ...and probably felt "squishy" in tight turns as they will do great trail braking and then squaring off turns at high speed like Valentino Rossi does ..but for your Harley you will be better off with a set of Metzler Tourance adventure bike tires that will wear pretty fast but twice as long of a road racing tire ...but big advantage on a Harley FX or Dyna...you might get 8k miles but will be a hoot doing it ....RevZilla have average prices and a hot minute of searching the web will yield lower prices anyway here's what they look like www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/metzeler-tourance-tires?gclid=CjwKCAiAhreNBhAYEiwAFGGKPGuESDshvlCctVEFf-S0I4DQ1pYUhOuLp-NuvP_WSB-sheuEjM_dTBoCfRIQAvD_BwE If you have ever been to a biker club party/rally .. they're usually held out in the woods somewhere on a trail that's not paved and after it rains you'll find a lot of Harleys on their side but if you have Metzler adventure tires , you have a good chance of staying up on two wheels and like traveling on today's interstates where most of the bridges are being repaired and you have to drive off the interstate on this makeshift white rock and gravel and dirt road to get back on the interstate it will not be so scary with Metzler Tourance

$500 for that tank strap alone @ Elvis's and it may not be as nice. You would be hard pressed to find a seat in that condition. That full seat (saddle and back/pass) would set you back around $1000 or more and it may not be as nice. Must be worth double though as Kaplan Americe's arse has sat on it. That is one nice machine, they should still make it along with the VRod

Man, I doubt that bike is gonna sit for very long at all. That thing is mint! And those 80 spoke rims with that paint and chrome bring it out way more. I even looked them up online out of curiosity, and seriously, I only saw a few. And none of them came close to this one. Awww man that Harley looks like it floats. Very nice Kaplan America. 👍

The chrome on the engine is stock from the factory.... And this year's Harley-Davidson was the first manufacturer ever to put real Chrome over the aluminum valve covers and engine covers as no other manufacturer has ever tried that because it doesn't work as a normal chrome plating operation like after so many years Brown's plating on their Honda engine parts will bubble up and peel off ... That's why no Japanese Motorcycle company has ever Chrome plated any engine parts but the Chrome that process that Harley uses of whatever actually works as you can see on this 1992 as that's the original chrome plating from Harley-Davidson on the engine... It was this particular FX that was a limited edition year with a lot of first on it and the Chrome engine covers from the factory where it

The work you guys do with these bikes and this channel, deserves remark, even the educational level, remarkable, and, truly motorcycle faithful, I'm grateful to listen cause due to a brain injury and a bad time made it worse I've lost iq, knowledge and all sorts, its good to here fact for fact!

I have a question. I've never ridden an FXR, a dyna or a softail. Why do people say that the FXR is the best handling harley frame ever while H-D claims that the new softail frame is the best handling one? Also Matt Laidlaw made a comparison video between the FXR and the Softail Lowrider S where he says it too.
@KaplanCycles3 жыл бұрын
Matt Laidlaw can't sell you an fxr because he can't get them. He makes his living selling softails
