Sweet! My old bike! Such a controllable throttle! I won the 1991ama amateur open class motocross series championship in Huetter, Idaho near Coeur d'Alene with that bike. It was a tight sandy loamy Supercross style track, pretty tight. All the other open class guys had a hell of a time. But not me, I weighted the crank with a Barnett steel clutch and put a gear reduction device on my clutch lever and rode the thing like a 125. I missed one wholeshot that season. Thanks for the memories! 🏁👈😂👍

Wizard's got a nice KX500 sounds great! I rode my friends 2000 Kawasaki KX 125 it was in nice shape with a fresh top end rebuild. It was freakin' FAST!

I rode a Dutch "buddies" of mine 89 model of the mighty kx-500. It had 3rd gear issues, but it was rideable. Its different than the 500R's as it more tractor like than a brutal hitting Honda. Both are great bikes, this one appears to be a winner!

I believe those KX 500's were faster than the CR 500's. A friend of mine back in the 90's sold his CR 500 to get one. The KX 500 is also the king of desert racing. Nice clean, great running example. It wags its tail as a 500 two stroke should.

Was never a big KX guy, only Kawi I ever really lusted after was the 89 ZX7-R, the 96 ZX7-RR, and the ZX-12R (owned a 96 built CBR-XX, again, big Honda guy 👌)...but I'd definitely take a KX500E 😅

Another wicked kx500 by the wizard, of course Mr kaplan is gonna ride it and love it to bits, love your channel and videos as you really care about your subscribers and viewers, think I will find out in the future about buying a 500 2 stroke beast from kaplan cycles as built 500 just seems to be a monumental waste of time, don't know why they ignore me on Facebook and its just lame to do that to someone who has been a fan of service Honda since seth enslow did his World record attempt and the cr500 for over 30 years, not a good way to treat a future customer
