These bikes where full race spec back then they had magnesium parts In them to save weight and for a 50hp bike at 220lbs they did just that. For 1982-83 these where rockets heck there still pretty quick even now. And this is a pristine example of one to. Great job who ever restored it 👍🏽

Had an 81’ CR250, 83’ CR480, 85’ CR500, 85’ RM500, and I loved the 480 the most! The raw torque of low and mid on the 480 was just dreamy! God I miss that bike! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🍿🍿😎👍
@Daniel4563244 жыл бұрын
The 85 had the most torque-hp out of all the 500 lineup. Maybe the 480 felt more usable power band?
@peanutgallery00784 жыл бұрын
@@Daniel456324 No question the 85’ had ultimately more hp, and the motor didn’t fall on its face at the top like the 480 did. But from the bottom well into the mid was unparalleled in the 480 imo! I absolutely loved that. To compensate for that face-plant power curve you just stayed in higher gears ... all the time! I could cruise at 15 mph in 4th and only had to twist the throttle to get over or around anything w only one shift left to go for warp speed! 👍😃😎🇺🇸
