I had one in late 80's, build '76, but a F1. It was the best bike i ever had. Very reliable. Great memories made with that bike. Unforgettable.

In 1975 my buddy and I went to Anderson's Honda dealership in the Detroit area a couple days apart, each to buy a new bike. He came home with the blue 750 Super Sport, I bought the traditional 750 K5 (also blue). There was no way I could keep up with his Super Sport. That thing was much quicker than my K5, off the line and top-end. (I paid $1,871 dollars out the door that summer of 1975). The one shown here in this video from 2018 is one beautiful motorcycle!

I bought one in 92 in Windsor Ontario. It took me and my gf across Canada, no fuss. It lacked for power a bit and had a floppy old steel frame but still a class act of a bike.

Beautiful. Brings back so many happy memories. Third bike I ever owned, a red one circa 1976. We went on our honeymoon to St Ives, Cornwall on it in 1980. Great bike, great memories. Thanks for the images, lovely reminders. 42 years on and on a GL 1800 Goldwing we're still rolling up the miles together.

Was my third bike, all from new. Previous bikes were Honda’s 400F and a CB200.

I owned two of these - in yellow. First one in 1976, new. Rode from CA to MT and back one summer. Sold after four years. Later in 2009, I found a really good one with only 4K miles and had it for six years. Sold that one to an appreciative new owner over in Napa, CA. I ride a 2015 Indian Scout now, another well engineered machine.

My first bike was a '78 CB750F. It was a bit rough aesthetically, but I loved that bike and it never gave me a single minute of trouble. Someday I'm going to have another one.

I had one of these. Exactly the same. In SA they came out with a chrome tappet cover. The real full name is CB750F1 Supersport. The F2 came out with dual front discs and mag wheels. Interesting, the owners manual said you could red line the engine when it was warmed up. In SA they called/call these a "boesman" Afrikaans for Bushman, as they are as tough as nails and just dont stop, even if you hammer them on a daily basis. I had to hammer mine just to keep up with my buddies who were all riding GSX750 s and XS1100 s! Top speed was about 195km/h. The harder you road them, the faster/more responsive they became. The 500 four and 550 four s were also tough strong engines. After that i bought a more modern CB750F. It was lighter and double overhead cams but we couldnt get the carbs right and it never got over 195km/h. Honda bikes were very strong in those days. I wish I'd never sold it. Even the 350 s and 400 s. Im still a big Honda fan.

Had a '76 SS just like the one pictured in opening shots. Replaced the ugly muffler with an R.C. Engineering slip on muffler had bike painted black, had the discs drilled and installed some black chrome superbike bars. A really fun bike.

Had the same one in 76 ..XGN 380S. Ryes of Fulham £1069. Was a toss up between the Suzuki GT 750 and the F1 , F1 sounded better with a great transmission whine when over 4000rpm .Took it down to S of France and it was fabulous ,was a real superbike of the time

I had a 76 super sport that was clean as that. Mine was sulphur yellow, which Honda offered also that year . The exhaust was near perfect original. I did some mods - had the side covers painted to match tank, and used the 77 super sport comstar wheels, swing arm, and forks. That gave it dual discs up front, but still looked very factory. Ran like a swiss watch at 14k miles with no leaks or issues. It got a lot of attention at stop lights and bike night. I sold it in 2001, but i still know the guy that has it now. Im hoping he leaves it to me in his will lol.

My second motorcycle was that exact bike, except mine had red side covers. I believe I paid $1,700 for it new in 1977 while stationed at Ft. Bliss, TX. It was a big move up from my ‘71 Honda 450. The 750 handled well and was super reliable. I put a Vetter Windjammer SS fairing on it and did several long tours on it.

I had one in the early 80s , a bit of a ratter really , but the one thing that always amazed me was how stable it was , especially at low speed you could roll up to a set of lights stop with your feet up and just wait for it to fall either way , I swear sometimes it felt like 2 second's before it did.

I ride a 75 750f, unfortunately it doesn't have the original tank. Runs like a dream, though. My wife's grandfather bought it new, and it has about 35k miles on it.

Just picked up a '75 750f0. The tank has been replaced including matching paint, but leaves about a 1" gap to seat. Looking around, I can't discern a difference from pictures between the first year and the next several on tank design. I'm thrilled to find this bike, but I'd love to fix that gap! Any help on compatible tanks would be much appreciated!
