1976 Honda CB550 Super Sport

Had one. Smooth, 13.3 at 95 in the 1/4 all day long. Still have the time slips. Smooth, fun, sounded great, dam I miss that bike!

My father had a 74 550 super sport and when he drove his truck to work on afternoon or night shift in the summer I was 14 I was all over our rural area . Till I got caught two towns away ..... Great bike and quick power . That bike in video is in beautiful shape ! Love these videos !

I had the same bike in blue. I loved the F-model's clean styling, the "550 four" decal on the side covers, the plainer SS model gas tank with the locking cap. This one looks to be in good shape. Everything you say about its handling is true. It was fun to tune with it's valve tappet caps, and old school mechanical points. I had to travel for a job, and was forced to let mine go for $400.00 in '79. Still miss it. The American model did have the seat strap.

@@Spartansrule118 Sure, Keeps up with traffic easily, handles beautifully. I drove mine from California to Louisiana. But I find motorcycles a bit uncomfortable for long rides. I wouldn't repeat that journey at this stage of my life.

I owned a 1976 550 Super Sport. 1) They don't come with a CB designation, a true 550 Super Sport comes with a CS designation. Mine had a Kirker 4/1 header and a 75 rear tire. I buried a 150 mpf speedometer in 4th gear.

I can't remember a CB550 four in the UK .We just had the CB400 Super sport I think

I had a CB 550four in the uk they were here the F1 and F2 models and K versions with the four into four pipes.

Nice Mutton Chops Ken! But this colour is "shiny orange" - not "flake sunrise orange". Then it would look different and be a F0 from 1975. So this here is a 1976 F1 if i am right. Correct me if i am wrong ;-) cheers!

It is not 100% original... the seat cover was black and never tan nor brown or any other color...

Paul Quiroz and it’s missing the hold strap that goes across the seat. And I didn’t hear the turn signal indicator alarm when he turned on the signals.
