I want to thank Nate for the great shots of opening cupboards, walking through doors, making the coffee step by step, etc. I always think, “wow, he has to do all that set up for just one or two seconds for the edit.” But, it’s those tiny things that make us apart of the journey not just observers. Your dedication for the final product is well appreciated.

I'd definitely, no doubt in my mind, choose the Las Vegas penthouse. Because of all the perks you get, such as all the room service and the butler. But also all the things you can do in the penthouse, such as soaking in the sunset while chilling in the Jacuzzi, or relaxing in the sauna, as well as catching up on Kara and Nate on the TV. And to top it off, the size is simply amazing. With all of these things you could feel like a king, and throw a massive party every night.

Some ice skating tips: - just practice a lot! Your feet aren't supposed to be facing inward like that, but with practice it starts to hurt less and you learn how to keep your legs more upright - once you get semi-comfortable with skating, try not to "walk" on the ice but instead push with the side of your foot - bend your knees a lot hope this helps! love your vids :)

Great video, I adore you both! I'm quite a bit older, 40, and I have 4 kids ages ranging from 12-20, and I've been so inspired by all of your incredible videos! I didn't even know there were such beautiful places in the world and I want to see some of them before I die! So last year I bought a 30 ft RV and am renovating it so that all 5 of us can live comfortably in it & hopefully we'll be hitting the road by the Summer. Every morning I watch your videos, live vicariously through your adventures, and remember why I've taken on such a strange project (Ppl in town always ask me, who buys an RV when you live on an island, where are ya gonna go? Theirs literally only about 4 or 5 campers/RVs and 1 skoolie on the island) I'd also like to mention I live in a small town, on an island, in Alaska, so it doesn't get much more remote than here. I've lived in the town that I was born in all my life; I've only traveled out of state for medical reasons. I see my RV as the ticket to getting out and seeing parts of the world and showing my kids that the world is so much bigger and there are so many different ppl in the world than just on our small rock.

For the ice skates, it might be al harder to keep them straight at first, something i’ve noticed that is very important when you’re tightening them is, firstly, bumping the back of your skate until your heel is at the back of the skate, and making sure it’s tied VERY tight. (you can wrap the laces around if it’s long enough.)
@kodyhogan35682 жыл бұрын
also for someone who played hockey since they were 5, I recommend pushing your toe down as you are pulling up to tighten thee laces. Make sure your skates are tight! Not tight enough to cut off circulation but enough to be snug. If you are going to do a marathon, please buy skates and have them baked. You will want to go ice skating a few times to break them in as well. Also a tip when ice skating, squat down like you are sitting in a chair. Keep that chest up and dont push back wards but more to the side. Almost at a 45 degree angle. To get the most off your stride, finish your stride by pushing off the toe! Best of luck!

GOD, Family, Friends, Love, & nature = The BEST parts about life!
@JenSwarbrick19662 жыл бұрын
As a former figure skater I want to recommend that you actually invest in some good skates. Have them fitted. Kara, get 'female' skates (but watch out for the picks - they can be tricky) but they will stop you from feeling like you're going to fall backwards. Keep your posture straight. No hunching (that leads to falls) Nate, get good hockey skates. They are tighter on the ankles (which will stop your feet from doing the uncomfortable inward lean which can really hurt your ankles) and won't rub your feet raw if fitted correctly. Wear proper socks. Cotton only. Anything else will create moisture and give you those great big blisters. Or cancel your trip to Finland lol xo Also, WOW! That place is incredible!

Hey Kara and Nate! Love your videos! So I play ice hockey, and the reason the skates are pointing out and your ankles are bending in is just because you haven’t tied your skates tight enough.
