Apart from all the downside, listening to intellectuals atleast we have experts who know the grass root problems of city and there is urge to study these and then sharing on internet is very inspiring . Uzair, do you know that local government elections are pending from the August 2020 when Wasim Akhtar's tenure ended, simply becuase the two mafias (ppp and mqm) don't want them to happen. Most of the solutions suggested by Dr Erum were more or less an empowered local government. But how will that happen when all major parties including pti don't want such elections to take place. Also since you were discussing about local issues of karachi, I was surprised both of you didn't discuss about JI or Mustafa Kamal, both of whom say that if they are to be mayor, they will try to put and end to this tanker mafia.
