One thing you forgot to mention is that the biggest karakachans are HUGE. They were bred to fight off bears, which still exist in the Balkan mountains. My only question is, how obedient are they? Any danger of them attacking their owners?

those dogs was used in army,before communists,but i never heard bulgarian sheperd dog,to attack their ouner,bro.Can train them,but is not german sheperds and thoose dogs work in paks

our biggest sheperd dogs,have bin killed twice,from communists and after fall of communism,now we try to renew the breed.But is dangerous dog,has bin used in bulgarian army,before,work best in packs,and is still,from the best protectors of animals and land,from bears and wolfs,in Bulgaria still have,brown bears and grey wolfs,thanks God.This breed deserve saving.Thanks,for the video.Healt and happynes

your intoducing is really funny. The word '' karakachan '' is a Turkish word , meaning ''the speeding black'' or '' the fast black''.. There is a Turkish tribe named ''karakachan'' in İran. The Karakachan Tribe in İran ruled İran for hundered of years. but The name of İran of their time was ''Safavid state''. Some of them might move to Bulgaria and Greece . İn addition The Greek were never nomadic. Only Native Americans- Red İndians and Turkish were the nomadic throuout the history. You inform people wrong. Sorry for interrupting

hihi actualy,Karakachan peoples,are related,with old thracian peoples,before greeks and bulgarians,i dont know,what DNA show,for them,but i dont think is much diffferent,than bulgarians,show old Balkan peoples,related,with steppes,more than ,with Anatolia.Healy and happynes
