Watching him play it's impossible not to get stoked. The insane speed and placement behind his returns is hidden by short, precise movement. These dudes have no idea the ball is coming back that fast and at such a weird angle, because his body movement gives nothing away....excellent contrast against today's very _aghem_ dancey players

I wonder if his backhand speed has ever been measured, I'd bet it's the fastest backhand in the modern sport, I don't think spin can ever truly be measured unless you are the player at the other end of the table, obviously this is a gift for him, and his backhand is better than all the top players today, and obviously this doesn't make him a better player than any of the top players today, just like the video title says, this is just about the backhand, nothing else, it just happens to be magic in his case, way too many haters commenting on KZbin these days

Actually, the strength of Karakasevic's game is in his fast and awkwardly placed receives of serve and his full left-handed swinging forehand loop, initially into his mainly right-handed players' backhand. This wins an incredible number of points and if this doesn't work he will then power a forehand down the line or anywhere in his opponent's forehand for a winner. His wrist flexibility is awesome, intuitively taking his opponents out with fast left to right strategy that has his opponents running like rabbits, his block and strategies similar to Oh Sang Eun in many ways. His awesome touch with well timed drop shots is reminiscent of Waldner. Although his backhand is effective and well placed, it cannot be compared to Kreanga's power and consistency. In fact consistency is Karakasevic's achille's heel with his inability to produce consistent rallies. Watch his forehand loop and see how it throws his opponents as recently against Zhang Zike kzbin.info/www/bejne/inzMm6yegNRqmM0 It is his forehand that earns Karakasevic 2 games from one of the current best players in the world.

which better backhand karakasevic or kreanga ?
@Top8TT
@Top8TT 7 жыл бұрын
That is a good question. Kreanga is a better mover, his backhand is full body movement, have a corect technique. Karas is player who depends on variations, deferent spins and power, his technique is very hard to learn, pure talent, beautiful to watch, have fantastic touch but that is very hard to master , need years and years...Both players very interesting to watch, maybe I will make a video about Kreanga, or comparation video, that would be interesting. Thank you for comment!

It is hard to compare. ML doesn't use his backhand to straight out win a point very often. I would however agree that he has a faster backhand, as necessary in today's game.

ceadi my man what the fuck are you talking about. ML has better backhand than this guy in his prime. More power more speed more accuracy more everything peep game
@evilcarni
@evilcarni 7 жыл бұрын
What I meant to say is that the players play very differently, so it is harder to compare. ML is forehand player and karakasevic backhand. Now that I've watched more videos about karakasevic, I can agree that ML has a better bh, as karakasevic is even more inconsistent than I thought.
@blueheart9873

serve: maybe Werner Schlager? forehand: ma long or wang liqin backhand: fan zhendong (but Wang Hao's reverse penhold backhand is amazing too) footwork: no doubt, Zhang Jike - sure Ryu was fast but he needed it to cover the table with forehand; Zhang's is supreme lobs: I'll go for Xu Xin here blocks & placement: Waldner chops: Joo, obviously mental strength: probably Zhang again, in his prime attitude: Timo Boll, the gentlest of all players touch: here it would be Waldner or Xu Xin, who has the most imaginative shots around
