Makayla knew she had taken some drugs that night. She probably bought the same amount from the same person at the same location - like always - but that time she bought a "hot shot" that nearly killed her. She doesn't want to believe that the same dope man that she always buys from sold her a kill shot. He likely didn't do it intentionally - they don't make the product, but they do sometimes STRETCH the product (using various potentially lethal cutting agents), package it up, and sell it. She mentioned that someone was trying to get her to "buy some coke" that night but she wouldn't. Well... "Coke" is NOT an opiod, which is what they say was in her system. I think she unknowingly bought/consumed some laced cocaine (likely with fentanyl) and accidentally overdosed - it happens every day . She just didn't die (by God's grace). Maybe she didn't do any cocaine that night but opted for a pill (or two) instead. Whatever it was, she knows what she took. Makayla's just having trouble admitting to herself that she almost died by her own hands. India, on the other hand, knows Karamo's lie detector results on Makayla were true. Check out how India was searching Makayla's face, trying to make eye contact, while Karamo read the results - she knows it true. She knows how her "baby mama" gets down. Makayla was so sick, it's just hard for India to wrap her head around a person doing that kind of harm to themselves. But she did. Makayla fucked around and found out why "Just Say No" is a thing. She saw what her brain was REALLY like on drugs (remember that commercial with the egg and the skillet?)
