If the big guys get cancelled, it hurts so much. Ho ho ho. But if outsiders get pushed out, nobody cares. Karan Johar is a good producer, showbiz guy, has good people and business skills. But his craft and understanding of cinema, culture is not mature. All his films are juvenile. Even his recent one is a great concept, but the execution is do loud. Being articulate doesn't mean you are original.

I unsubscribed your channel due to the Karan Johar interview..not putting that out to hurt but I didn't expect you to get along with him.. I don't care if another person is promoting him but from you I expected the real recognition of talent.. I think you might also know he doesn't deserve what he has as a filmmaker, nothing according to the fame and money he gets.. I am not going personal here.. till this time I felt Karan Johar and some of the other people don't have the credibility to have your praise and your time, interview.. but ig it is how it works.. I know maybe you are turning around him a little bit because of the system's and political game and all but he is not fair and credible tbh.. long comment and I might delete in sometime but I adore you so can't able to resist myself after this second interview without watching both of them.. Sucharita has kept her dignified silence so I will try and give her perspective. As a member of the media who critiques and studies Hindi cinema, one must do so with all the honesty possible which requires to watch/talk/dissect/discuss cinema in all its shapes and sizes. Dismissing/Cancelling someone over personal judgment is someones we (you) can do but Sucharita is a student of cinema and thats why she doesn’t, and interviews him and others. On another hand, talking to(and listening to) Karan is just pure fun. You go Sucharita ❤️

Karan Johar is genuinely one of the only filmmakers in India that still makes the quintessential Bollywood genre film well. Get out of your narrow worldview and understand how the beauty of cinema is that a Karan Johar AND an Anurag Kashyap can make great cinema that speaks to many. I won't even go into the countless movies Dharma has presented and produced throughout the years. One might dislike KJo for his on-screen presence or personality, however you cannot simply deny his impact in Hindi film industry. Also he's like really knowledgeable and fun to listen to anyway.

The worst type of movie enthusiasts are probably people who gatekeep cinema. Karan Johar is one of the most influential and qualified filmmakers of bollywood. A dude who made the poster of bollywood for international audience, "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham", made " My Name is Khan." made so sensible and nuanced film on such a complicated subject matter as infedility and unfulfillment in romantic relationships "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna" in the masala-melodrama era... I mean dude how can you not like him if you like cinema. As a producer Karan has given the industry so much. Even the other great makers revere him so much. Karan's films have their shortcomings, but it is hilarious to question his credibility. Grow up dude, stop watching BJP's flag bearer's interviews and start watching cinema.
