Karan himself alone didn't take up the responsibility to support each and every newcomers and young filmmakers. Do u even know his production house gave chances to almost 20 new directors? He launched so many fresh faces and outsiders and even directed 3 newcomers out of which Siddharth Malhotra was an outsider. He also appreciates young talents. Recently Abhay Verma (Munjya fame) said Karan was the first big celebrity who messaged him personally, praises about his performance and wishes him for the success of his film. And his film Ae Watan Mere Watan came before Munjya was also produced by Karan.

He’s gotten enough slack for what he does, and i don’t deny that he gets undue amount of crap from right-wingers and bigots just for being queer, but he also definitely upholds the industry hierarchy and contributes to the class system and elitism, and i don’t care for such hero-worship of people with material and cultural power

Not sure why he's putting it on for this video, particularly given the audience for this content is primarily Indian so he can't deploy the argument that he's just trying to be understood.
