Judaii is one of the few hindi movies I understood along with english/vinglish and mom. I was aware later of other hindi movies through my parents, I was a kid and Judaii was on t.v so that's my first introduction to her. I took the movie as a comedy and the way she portrayed her character stood out and it was just about her and others were average actors. The way she did her job naturally eclipsed others. The only one I watched where her performances are equal to another performer was Sadma with Kamal Hassan. Seems like her tamil movies which I later came to see had good story as priority followed with natural performances. Compared to hindi which was all about the hero or heroine of which sridevi was.

I think Madhuri Dixit should also admit that her own stardom developed and created not because of her dancing skills or a unique smile but she was presented and got fame as a rivel to Sridevi by media's so-called and self proclaimed agenda for Number#1 fake game throughout the 80's and 90's era. Otherwise except some popular dancing numbers Madhuri had never anything else to showcase her competence or expertise in acting or any movie she did. There is not ever a single movie in entire Madhuri's character which totally get success only because of Madhuri. While Sridevi was a mega star not only in Bollywood but other regional languages Indian movies as well. Sridevi is unmatched legend of Hindi Cinema for ever.

Never really understood why Madhuri and Sridevi were compared. Sridevi is the senior and had a head start in the Industry. Madhuri entered the industry much later. Sridevi was pitted against several actresses throughout her career. Many actresses came and went but Sridevi was always there.
