Thank you for taking me back to Onne port it has been 4 years since I left the port. Those are American vessels seconded to Nigeria Navy from US Coastguards, Names are Nigeria Navy Ship Nwamba, Kyanwa, Ologbo, Obola and Nigeria Navy Ship Thunder. I have done two of duty on board Nigeria Navy Ship Nwamba. I was trained to be a combat sailor at Nigeria Navy Basic Seamanship Training School Onne not far away from the FOT/FLT Port.

I'm not your target demographic but I love watching your adventures on the briny, I'm a Brit, I have been on board ships, and boats, mostly royal navy, I was in the army but sometimes we all ended up on transports or destroyers, but then get off the ship into a RIB then battered by waves to the coast, usually at night. So watching you working the merchant side of things is a joy, good luck mate with your career, and hope you get your own command in the near future, good things happen to good people.

Things obviously have not changed much with port operations since the 70ys/80ys, except that we had the C/O on for 6hrs giving me and 3/0 better rest times. Added codicil We all, Master, C/O, 2/0, 3/0 extra 3/0 and cadets on continuous security watch. Good luck and carry on, hopefully you will have three stripes soon.
