Such a bummer that most who post this omit the "Frondi tenere" recital in front of it - it adds a lot of spice to the aria. Alas no version that includes the beginning, so nice with harpsichord, to be found on YT.

Il recitativo e' fondamentale per contestualizzare questa magnifica aria, ma anche molti cantanti professionisti lo "dimenticano" un vero peccato.Ma si puo' cantare a cappella senza accompagnamento per poi attacare l'aria con l'accompagnamento.
