To answer you question about what happens when the ball hits a block and goes out of bounds: If a player blocks a ball, and then that ball goes out of bounds, the last player that touched the ball was the blocking player, so it counts as them hitting it out of bounds. Point goes to the attacking team. Also, you can attack from the back as long as you aren't the libero, and you don't spike in front of the line separating the back and the front of the court. So what most players do if they are spiking from the back row is jump over the line, and hit the ball in the air because they technically haven't set foot in the front of the court at that point.

the " stop them before reaching 20 points" it's a psycological thing... since the game ends at 25, when you reach 20 point mentally you feel near the the victory. it's how our brain works. it works even with 10 points...let's say we are 9 on 9, if you reach 10, it's just 1 point ahead of me, but your score is a 2 digit number. it's like 49,99$ when shopping, even if it's basically 50,00$ your brain will still consider it differently

Btw, the Oni and Iron Club reference is Japanese Lore. An Oni is basically an Ogre most commonly known for having an Iron club as a weapon. The metaphor refers to Kageyama as the monster and Hinata as just a tool for him, an iron club. When the coach sees Hinata grow mid match, he acknowledges that it'll no longer be an Oni and a club but rather 2 Oni. They'll be two monsters in their own right.

Also, Nekoma's style of play is all about keeping the ball alive. They don't care about having the best spikes, once they keep it alive they'll find a way to score.
@thatguyshaq70532 жыл бұрын
That's beautiful. To tell the difference between being absolutely shut out becasue you're ass and being shut out because the team acknowledges that you ARE a problem. Hinata being a competitor acknowledges that it feels good to be the latter.

27:37 - A game is often up to 25 points. So whoever gets to 20 first tends to lead the momentum and affect the other team mentally. So as a player, if the opposite team gets to 20 first you're thinking "ah shit they only need 5 more points to win" which can happen very fast. 10:23 - It would be cool if you gave vball a shot just for fun or to see if you like it. It's a little diff from football cause it's less long stretches of running, and more sprints so i'd say expect it to be tiring in that way. Cordination from feet to hands might be a change too, but I'm sure it won't be too much of a transition. But if you're new to it, a 1v1 or a 2v2 would probably be a lot of exercise and fun for a newbie :).

Setters are allowed to spike, and do those cheeky dumps and whatever, it's just that they will usually be the one to set the ball, because setting is a demanding skill and you wanna leave it to the one that's best for it. AFAIK Libero is the only special position with special rules, the rest of the players can technically do whatever. Kind of like the goalie vs the other 10 players on a football team. A defender can still run into offense and score a goal themselves, but that's not a regular occurence. Also, even if you could stack more than 3 people on the net to block, that probably wouldn't be smart, because if the ball still got past the blockers, there wouldn't be enough people on the back end to receive it. :D

If you are in the back row, you can go in front of the 3 meter line, but you can't jump once you pass it, meaning no, you cannot block from the back row, leaving 3 blockers at one time in front.

Cats have a weight class advantage, a crows intelligence isn’t going to do much in a fight. Plus cats are natural hunters of things like birds. That being said a group of crows could gang up on a cat if they wanted as do some damage probably.

To spoil you, you will be surprise at the results at the end of this season1 though. But that's the beginning of some of the major characters growth. And i feel you, once i dived in the Haikyuu world i found myself that i've been trapped...a good trap... And another spoiler, i love it when hinata became the best receiver at the end of the story. Waiting for season5 of HQ

Back court players can't hit the ball over if they cross the 3m line. Hence why you see back court spikes with them jumping from behind the line. So no a back court player can't block.
