Great video, these techniques are widely used within karate. Personally I believe that other takedown techniques such as Ko-soto gari, morote gari and Nami gaeshi are also effective within the dynamics of Karate Combat.

Great stuff! I need to practice the first takedown more. I like doing the muay thai sweep where you catch the leg, swing it across to the other side, grab it with the other arm and kick out the standing leg. But this takedown here takes less time.
