I didn’t know that I didn’t win. When I was in my corner expecting a NC president awesome told me that they couldn’t find an eyepoke on the replay so he thought I won. Then when I went over to the commentary booth to ask, because I know they’re looking at the replay, Mike Majak told me not to celebrate until they raised my hand. So once they raised my hand and the ring announcer declared me the winner, I figured they must have checked the replay and saw it was a punch. I mean why wouldn’t I think that? I was a 10-1 underdog, and a Karate Combat contract was potentially on the line. So of course I celebrated - that was my 5th fight. I had 4 mma bouts from when I was in my 20’s. I use to live in my van, and park it outside my gym. I took this fight nearly 9 nears removed from my last fight, so when it was announced that I had won, and I thought I had the contract all those emotions came rushing back.
