Very nice :) I really liked the footwork steps that we trained at the Clinic in DC. Footwork is one of my favorite areas of combat work.

Thanks again for your GREAT WORK Sensei´s!!! Your videos now cover about 80 % of my home training sessions. Always fantastic, well-explained routines no matter what type it is! There is only one thing I´m missing on your channel - please, could you make some video or videos focusing on MAKIWARA and HEAVY BAG training for Shotokan karatekas??? Pros and cons, dos and dont´s, what to concentrate on and if possible, some follow-along class as well! I bet most of us, early intermediate or intermediate Shotokan students, regularly use at least one of these tools in our dojos or at home. However, we often don´t know how to use them properly and get the best results from them! It would be very helpful to learn something new from you on this particular field!!! Thank you, Karlo, JKA Shotokan CZ

Hi Karlo, thanks for the suggestion. I agree many people end up hitting things without a lot of guidance or instruction, and that can sometimes be a problem. I don’t have a makiwara at home to demonstrate that, but do have a heavy bag and can discuss the similarities and differences, as well as what hitting these things is actually meant to train. I will try to make a video about that soon.
