what a moving tribute to all the brave men and women protestant and Catholic alike who wore that uniform with pride day day out never knowing if they would be coming home in the evening alive or worse. they were the thin green line and we should never ever forget the ultimate sacrifice made by so many to keep the streets of Northern Ireland safer for everyone

Respect to the fine officers of the RUC , even though Demonised by republicains, they were very proffesional and served both sides of the community with honour and integrity under testing times, RIP the Fallen

Great to hear "raaaager n at uniform" once again. By Christ, we could put on a show back then; it makes me even more frustrated to see the drop in standards of today. Old men with memories are never the most objective though. My regards to all ex-colleagues, with the exception of those who write books and give interviews slagging off the branch.

To be a soldier in any war is not good but they had no right to be there they got what they we asking for when you kill people for no good reason other then that there are from the south or north .They should think about that before they try to take someone land.

@Karateka73 Yes I'm from the states but that has nothing to do with what I know of the troulbes I'm second geneartion and most of my family fought for Irish freedom but all I was saying was that your father was a brave man because he did what his country asked of him but not all country are right and England should never had step foot in a anothing land so before you blame my Irish friends and family for killing asks you self why your their to begin with
A fitting tribute to the Ulster Defence Regiment
