@@jesusmen6308 its an item from Terraria, the upgrade to the Rod of Discord. putting it into the shimmer turns it into the rod of harmony, which removes the downsides of teleporting with it, with zero cooldown.

@@nobodys_here07 a compromise, if they do add a damage cap they shouldn’t over do it, something like taking a quarter of a bosses health at max height or make boss armor that kicks in if you do massive damage but still allows the mace to be viable.

Seeing modded bosses get oneshot with a soon to be vanilla item is pretty satisfying. Vanilla closing the gap with modded, and its putting some respect on slow, low dps but powerful attacks. I hope the sheer coolness of the weapon discourages use of damage caps. Or at least the usual damage caps that are only 15-20 damage, the mace becomes nearly useless that way except maybe for wind burst enchant. might as well use sharpness 5 axe instead

@teezy1234 not so low at 15 or 20 tho, it's so crippling. You could already hit above that with sharpness 5 vanilla axes and strength potions, but mods with those damage caps for bosses often have far stronger weapons, nerfing their own weapons more than anything else (cataclysm mod is a good example.) And the thing is the mace is basically a more exaggerated axe. Axes already had slower swing speed that meant swords had the highest dps, but, the mace wastes more time by needing to rise and fall from a height to use it, with a chance to damage yourself from falling if you miss, unless you used a wind charge or something. They need to at least double the damage cap to 40, and it'd encourages using stuff like tnt for combat as well. We need more variety

​@@teezy1234 Adding a damage cap in games is pointless. It just ruins the fun for players who enjoy that feeling of unlimited power over the fictional world of the game. If people prefer a challenge they can make it more challenging by simply not using the mace anyways. Balance is only really important in a competitive multiplayer setting which modded minecraft really isn't.

The Mace is such a cool item, that also bypasses a lot of what these bosses were doing. It existing will surely require modders to find creative solutions to a variable like this. As no weapon was like this before.

I think it doesn’t work sometimes because you land on the boss and then swing and so it doesn’t register that you hit from a hight

1:48 If you use an elytra with a riptide trident as you fall, use the riptide and quickly switch to mace and hit them, and it will work. Put the enchantments, and it will almost one-shot anything without even much height. Edit: In short flying does work with a riptide trident.

You should try to use the mace with infection mods. Spore has a damage cap for the bosses, but I am not sure if every other current mod has them as well.@@KaratFengMinecraft

I'm actually not 100% sure, I looked frame by frame in the edit and the mace performed the whole hit animation, but at the last frame switched to the steak, so I have no Idea if it was the steak or not, it was too fast I didn't noticed it during recording

@@coolchrisable It is just a joke mocking how the developers of the mod hate the idea of it being fun to play or being able to easily defeat their mobs. Since they wank them to DeviantArt OC levels of character wank. In terms of it actually leaving 1.12.2, it is very unlikely. It will probably meet the same fate as The Day Before or Yandere Simulator and never be "finished."

the Wind Burst just makes you "fly" while hitting enemies. its Density that gives the most dmg, its basically just Sharpness for maces.
