so, if you keep reflecting the fireballs, you'll eventually break his shield (To clarify, I mean actually destroying his shield, not just breaking his guard, since that's how you use that term). You can break it pretty early on in the fight, well before you manage it in the video. the ghast arrow reflect trick is a good strat.

For the Ancient Remnant fight, he does not pull you. He gives you an effect that reverses your movement controls. Wadjet does this too with certain attacks. It's meant to disorient you and throw off the rhythm of the fight. For Ignis, the fight is significantly easier if you have a Dodge mod like the devs recommend. You're meant to maneuver around Ignis far more fluidly than vanilla lets you, though it has been balanced well enough to be doable without dodge mods. Ignis is also easier when you preemptively deconstruct and reconstruct the arena. All of the Red Bricks signify places where there are lava channels, so digging them up and filling them with sand will immediately make the fight less stressful.

He's a mage that uses the apotheosis mod off-camera. Hope he knows the easiest Iron's Spellbooks n' Spells mod. It has one boss called The Dead King. Wayward Compass, Explore the catacombs like a strongholder, and find those red carpets leading to the boss.

the mod is NOT meant for players to have everything maxed out, ex: a whole stack of god apples is not practical, the mod is still meant for players with not as good gear to have a chance, the bosses would be considerably harder if not, youd of been one shot in nearly all of them if it was meant to be for players who have everything. I understand this is a mod review but it is completely unrealistic, someone could beat the first few bosses pretty easily with diamond gear and maybe some potions.

Yeah, but you want to be prepared to fight these bosses like if you go in with just regular diamond gear, no enchants, it's not gonna go well. Trust me I've tried, they can one shor you almost every single time.

54:00 the circles are indicators, the light blue circle is just basic attacks, but some can cooldown the shield from being on, the heating orange circles means that those are challenging and tricky attacks that deal more damage, red is a harder one that deals the most damage dealt from maledictus

cataclysm is imo top 3 newest version mods the only thing i wish the mod did is add some more early game pre boss equipment since they have an amazing base for the mod but they have to add some more content for early game to influence the experience even more

Btw, the curse of the desert effect (which was given by the ancient remnant) actually reverses your movement controls, which was why you were getting pulled away when you were trying to get closer-

This mod seems to be very ULTRAKILL inspired, with the music ability to grapple, and having to go through a big place and kill all the little things before you get to the big thing, and a few other things. Man, the design of the mobs from the Ancient Remnant dungeon are sick as hell, but the main boss being a T-Rex it's so goofy, like it could be an ancient humanoid draconid pharaoh or something like that, lol And I love how you can clearly see how the author has improved as modder and programmer while making the mod, like the Netherite Monstrosity it's cool, but Maledictus it's fucking amazing and all those attacks are really unique and they have all those flashy animations and effects
