If you right click the tombstone it says it doesn't have enough power or something so i assume you can power it somehow but i'm still looking for how exactly you do that

Cool stuff. The structure is awesome, tho some parts don't integrate best with the mobs. Maledictus stairs aside, it seemed like some of the big mini-bosses were put in cramped hallways or corners that led to auto-cheese.

Some of the previous mini bosses also suffer from bad placement. Prowler is Sandwiched between 2 walls that can block his missiles immediately (Maybe fixed with rework, now he's melee focus) Kobolediator has the same problem as Aprtgangr but at least he has good reach, parry arrows and can break free if you trigger his charge.

tbh unless you make an enderdragon type boss (as in it just ignores walls) you can always cheese mobs in minecraft

yea I’m pretty confused why they decided to put him in an arena with stairs that he can’t go through if the arena was bigger, and the stairs big enough that be could walk through, he’d be a much tougher fight

The arena it's just dumb for a big boss that flies and shoots, it should be open. I can be wrong, but they will probably rework the arena?

@@mongyenquan4685 what? Attacking him while he is stuck in the stairs? Or getting the high ground while he can't attack back? Even karat said something about him not being able to path find to him, that straight up makes the fight boring. It's not like the harbinger fight for example, the problem here It's both the ai and the arena

Agreed, its weird because pretty much every other boss is in a flat area like Ignus or has ways around you hiding like the last boss they added that just breaks everything in its way. Idk if the arena needs to change or something else though, maybe the boss could like phase in and out of existence to like teleport or something if they don't want to change the arena, so using the arena to your advantage in that way could still work but not for the entire fight? Maybe also the arrows could pierce through a single block layer and it could have an ability that teleports arrows to your location with some sort of warning or something so the arrows don't get caught on the decorations as much and the player has to hide behind different pillars instead of just camping a single location like what I assume was more the intention of the fight? Just spitballing ideas. 🤔

The arena is fine, it's just that he doesn't fight him directly.

That's just rude, the structure was being made at the same time Maledictus is being coded. What likely happened is that the builders are shown the Maledictus model and are told to make a structure that would fit its design. They'd probably assumed that he'd fly around more with the wings which is why there are stairs that leads to higher level. They did their best with the information they have. To me, it is clear that the structure isn't designed with Aprtgangr in mind as he was made after Maledictus is complete. The tight spaces are only for Draugar to navigate which is again, not their fault.

​@@mongyenquan4685 And let's not put the blame on Karat, it's not like he build a fort or some kind of machine to cheese the boss. He just used what was in the arena. Did I think it was anticlimactic and lame? Yeah, but all he did was utilize the environment.
