Karbala is considered sacred to Muslims and today the city is visited by millions of pilgrims annually. This documentary takes a look at the history of this holy city and its development in the last century.
The documentary particularly looks at the development of the holy grave of Imam Hussain (as) and how the construction of the shrine has progressed since the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as).

I live in Australia but my family lives in Iraq and I haven't been able to go there because covid and it's been six years since I've last gone I cry every day for Allh to get rid of covid and because my parents family is all over in Iraq it's hard my uncle just went last week and he filmed imam Hussain shiren and I just cried I just want to go soooo bad but inshallah I'm able to go I remember the last time I went and how beautiful it was and I wish we stayed longer 🤲🤲🤲 inshallah we can all go and visit imam hussain angan or for the first time for others Sorry I wrote so much 😅

As a Sunni, we don't accept a lot of these sects that deviated from the original teachings of Islam. Shias don't accept anyone as the leader except from the lineage of Rasullulah S.A.W. They also condemn every companion of the prophet except his family. Sunnis accept anyone as the leader as long as they are righteous and bring justice to people.

Shia believe that Sunnis are equal to us it is Sunni that hate us. And we do believe in the companions of the prophet (hamza) who was killed by hind (muwawiyas mum your so called Khalifa). Pilgrimage is not valid in this age, except to Mecca, Medinah, Jerusalem, and maybe Damanscus, but visitation of historical sites and the local graves can be anywhere in Islam, if shirking from monotheism and sin is not a part. The sacredness of Karbala and connection to Islam is overreaching. Islam doesn't celebrate the martyrdom, but the martyrs. This video confirms it was of the ancient Persians and may have not been a valid part of religion before Al Quran. Like the idea of Jesus returning, the narration varieties and attributes increasing with time instead of decreasing indicates failure in jurisprudence and transmission instead of discovery. Even if it is wrong to pretend that a dead person is disturbed in their grave by visitors to the graveyard, Islam does not call to tear down active shrines. As much as their have been oppression and murders, the martyrs and their shrines should not be political tools by people on each side. It is important to know history, but lets be moderate.
