Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use kzbin.infoUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

Thanks for the review, I purchased the K5 Compact this morning from Karcher, I did ask them for advice as I valet/clean 6-8 cars a week, they had no hesitation in recommending this one due to me saying Im short of space to store it, I have been using the K2 which has served me brilliantly for years so Im looking forward to the K5 extra power, thanks again for the review.

@@Cookie.x.monsterr A positive thumbs up for this machine, very positive in fact, the power is what it says on the tin, the 8m length of cable is ideal for car valeters also, about the 8m cable though is that I do not wrap it on the machine I loop it 3 times to store so that it does not coil up when I come to use it.

I wrap the mains cable round the front where you have the lance hose wrapped and keep the hose in a box

I went and purchased the K7 compact, so much power that one has. Also the pressure washer hose is different, it comes with a really flexible anti kink hose, silver in colour.

You're comments re the karcher engineer suggesting the compact versions are the simpler design with less to go wrong made my decision to buy one. That's the easy bit, now just the harder job of cleaning a laid up for 7 years boats deck.....

Apparently you store the mains cable, on the same reel as the hose. Using the rubber band. (7. Secure the mains connection cable and the high-pressure hose with the rubber band.) Pasted from operating instructions!

I was going to add that. Works fine for me wrapping both the mains cable and hose around the unit but it must be in that order, or the mains cable falls off.

I paid £172 last Sep via viking direct to replace my Nilfisk e135 ! Not seen it any cheaper! I would recommend buying a short trigger gun if you want to use it for car wash!

Hello, nice video. My K5 sometimes is making a very very short pump-pulse sound when it is ON and I am not using it. Is that suggest a leakage inside the machine?

It could be, unsure.....sometimes mine pulses because of water pressure loss when other people are using the water.

Thanks for the video, I've just bought one of these and it works fine, this is my first pressure washer and I'm really pleased with the result. However, the problems I have you don't really address. The hose fits in very easily but I can't get it out of the socket at either end. you mention a "quick release" at the machine end (do you push it or pull it?), but I can't budge it, and there doesn't seem to be any way of releasing it at the handle end. The same point with the wand fitted onto the handle - I can put it on quite easily - but how do I get it off?

At the handle there should be a yellow push button to release the hose and at the unit you need to push the collar around the hose. pretty straight forward Richard....thanks for checking the review out.

Thanks to your vid, I’ve purchased this! May I ask- what’s the point in the little suction hose thing where you can add a bottle of detergent, when you could simply pour detergent in the little foam bottle at the nozzle end? Surely any foam/ detergent will be fine? I’m a pressure washer newb ;)

The suction hose is designed to go into the top of a genuine Karcher detergent. I've always tended to use a snow foam lance myself. The main reason being there is more control using a snow foam lance as you can adjust the mixture and fan wide of the foam...hope that sort of answers you question? Hi Luke, that snowfoam bottle with a Karcher fitment that suits most K machines. they're readily available, I'd recommend Amazon.

@@OnlineHousehusband the new foam lance Pro makes thicker foam, and has 360 degree spray patterns, and eadier to attach to trigger guns. No need ptfe tapes to seal. It is worth trying.

Worked pretty much as expected🌼 allabout.wiki/SPX3000 Former machine was a 2700 psi gas machine. This has much less force but better control of spray and easier to get on roof with! Been working it steady now for a week, roof and siding. Starting deck today. So far so good
