KARD is the only active co-ed group; a couple others have come and gone over the years, but none have had the same longevity as KARD. They just had their seven year anniversary/contract renewal and the fact that they've managed to hold on this long and be successful all these years when other co-ed groups haven't been able to just speaks to how great they are. That being said, it took a long time for them to get traction in the kpop scene and for years they've been ignored by Korea; the fact that they are so popular overseas is what has kept them afloat all these years. It's been seven years and KARD still hasn't gotten their first win on a Korean music show (which is one of the milestones for groups). They also run into the issue that there is no category for "co-ed" in Korean award shows so they don't qualify for anything other than the large major awards, where they are then competing with the giants of the industry from large companies. But yes, they are absolutely amazing and have been since day one!
