FACT: KARD isn't very popular in South Korea because of being a mixed group, but they're HUGE in South America so they tend to have kind of a latin sound to their music.

Dumb Litty was BM's (tall member) debut as a producer 🤍Gunshot was also produced and writed by him (he did a lot of others songs for KARD, Go Baby and Hold On for example) KARD performances are amazing since they're always touring so they are master in live vocals, performance and crowd interaction. The boys are the rap line and the girls the vocal, but Jiwoo from the start is also part of the rap line and J.Seph was in vocal line in some comebacks (Bomb Bomb, Red Moon and Ride On The Wind). Somin did some rap in Red Moon, for the first time ^^

KARD is the only co-ed group to be successful in K-pop. Unfortunately they aren’t super popular in Korea. There have been several attempts to make mixed groups before, but they always flopped. Thankfully KARD is popular overseas, mostly in South America. I do know that when they were forming, it was just supposed to be a duet of BM and J.Seph. At the last minute the company told them they were going to be a quartet with two girls. J.Seph in particular was quite upset about it, but they had a fair amount of success so he changed his mind. And BM is from California, so it makes sense that he is always up to date with popular terms like Dumb Litty.

Fun fact, during gen 1 mixed groups were very popular. There were variations on the numbers and themes, but a common one had at least 1 smaller girl, cute and bouncy like a Chuu or Yena. Search for the groups "Roo'Ra", "쿨 Cool", "Young Turks Club", a lot of the music holds up to this day!

To answer your question, YES! The boys (BM and JSEPH) tend to do all the rapping and the girls (JIWOO and SOMIN) do the singing. But they can all do both!

I had the pleasure of seeing KARD last year in Atlanta where they performed this song….TWICE and it went HARD! They had the whole place hopping plus I had floors seats that were only like 4 or 5 rows back from the stage so I had a great view too 😜🤟🏾😁 If KARD go on tour again I’m sure ash definitely going and I would suggest you guys go as well if they’re near y’all’s city.
