Not only are they beautiful but they are top high end guitars. Yes; they are not cheap but they are still thousands of dollars less than a high end Les Paul. I bought his most basic guitar two years ago and I have been saving ever since to buy a second (look for a venus with a pale moon top at the end of the year (Yeah!))

The vocal descriptive you're looking for is the Layne Staley effect, which is to say, God Tier. There is so much Alice in Chains in the clean vocals on this track its amazing, that needs to stay in the Jinjer sound permanently.

I'm new to your channel, after first catching your recent joint reaction with the pop singer. Great job! I'm here for the Jinjer! I love Tatiana's expressiveness and phonation, both with the cleans and the uncleans. I've been singing and playing bass professionally since 1978. I've always been a metalhead, but I never really got into extreme vocals much. I dig David Draiman, and I like early Phil Anselmo, and that was pretty much it. I do love the old school Little Richard "Heeeeyyyyyy!" with vibrato, that's been used by so many great soul singers, and by dUg Pinnick of King's X in a soul/metal crossover. I had an inkling when I heard Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf that I was gonna like female screaming. Tatiana was a revelation though. She screams in a way that's more appealing to me than any other. Awesome breakdown of the various subtechniques. I'm learning to do harsh vocals, but I'm taking it slow to avoid damage. I'm in a band that performs a lot, and I just turned 62. I have to exercise a little caution. I appreciate your expertise and acumen. Thanks for dropping some knowledge on us brotha!

Imo, Jinjer is disguised as a metal group. It is mainly because of their sound and presentation. To me, the compositions they have produced since Vlad joined in 2016 are much more akin to classical and jazz structures than they are to metal. Their arrangments, chord structures, melodic, harmonic and rhythmic contents are much more related to classical European and jazz structures than they are to rock or metal formats. Many of their works could be transcribed for orchestras or large jazz ensembles. Imagine Gil Evans or Stravinsky or Wagner arranging Vortex with "traditional" instrumentation. Awesome

Really great analysis! I'm not a vocalist, just an avid metal listener and this helped me understand a bit more about what I like and dislike about Tatiana's vocal ability. I think it's precisely that nasal coloring that's a bit too much for my taste (maybe her English accent contributes a little as well). Even though Tatiana's growls are unmatched, I prefer Vicky Psarakis (from the Agonist), her cleans feel more soothing. BTW, I hope to see Vicky on your channel, too (I suggest checking The Agonist - "The Gift Of Silence" or "In Vertigo"). Also, an unpopular suggestion which might be an interesting discovery for you: Biomechanical - Empires of The Worlds (Earache Records version, for acceptable audio). The mastermind behind it, John K, practically vanished from the metal scene, which I think it's a big loss, as he was an awesome vocalist, not just a crazy composer.
