I really like this Jinjer song. One of their best for sure. It is sophisticated, intricate, groovy, progressive but cohesive at the same time. Production is nuts. Every member is nuts. Tatiana shows a very wide vocal range that is out of this world. But overall what fascinates me is the whole band is so sofisticated and unique that many people don't realise how much Jinjer are ahead of their time. I've been listening metal for the last 30ish years and it is my opinion.
@matthewgrady34232 жыл бұрын
After being sucked into the Jinjer rabbit hole, I’ve come to the conclusion that they are the modern day Queen. You have an amazing vocalist in Tatiana who possesses amazing charisma, range, and presence on stage. Once you look past Tatiana, you realize just how good of musicians that Roman, Vlad, and Eugene are and how essential they are to the band and to the music. When it comes to the music, I was talking with someone and “Crazy Little Called Love” came on and the person I was talking with asked who that was. After I told them who it was, their response was it didn’t sound like Queen and I asked “What does Queen sound like?” I then listed a bunch of songs that don’t fit a particular genre much less what you’d hear from one band be able to pull off and do it with same level of quality. “Pisces.” “Bad Water.” “Judgment and Punishment.” “Words of Wisdom.” “Teacher Teacher.” “Sit Stay Roll Over.” Great songs by the same band but songs that manage to mesh so many different styles without sounding like utter messes.

Seeing Elizabeth enjoy this so much totally made my day. I love when people enjoy my favorite stuff as much or MORE than I do. Amazing, wonderful analysis/reaction! Also, really cool of Elizabeth to pick up on the groove of the band. That's one of the things about Jinjer that I truly feel sets them apart from a lot of bands in this genre/style. But also, this song is special. It just has an unmistakable power and quality that no one can ignore. If this got any radio play, I feel like it could make them megastars. I feel like they have such a great understanding of atmosphere it’s crazy, every part of the vocals gives you the exact pull with the lyrics , the guitar is intricate in the beginning it gives you a sense of questioning what’s to come and then you’re explained what’s happening and then you’re being slowly pulled and spun around and spewed out. This song gives me goosebumps and the last part where she does the low growls it felt like such a release through the acceptance of the chaos, like the chaos is there and we can’t do nothing about it but take it in, it’s just crazy.
