Kardinal put Canada on the hip hop map. Before the kids called it the 6ix ... it was the T-Dot! Congrats to the Raptors.. from a Warriors fan Bay Area native

You're a little bit off by a good few years. Before Kardinal Offishall, there was Maestro Fresh Wes.

@@wallysworld8380 -- Actually, that's kind of the idea of the term "put _[insert location here]_ on the map. Just because you don't like a certain artist (or because another artist may have hit harder for you) does not mean that the artist's achievements can be discredited or marginalized on your say-so. That's not how it works.

Hands down the Ambassador for this era of Canadian music .. every bit as important .. as important as Fresh Wes for his era and Michie Mee . Being from Brampton and seeing friends in the videos even coming back to these in 2024 bangers then … bangers now they don’t crack .. underrated … intelligent …. A GOAT

Kardinal is not rapping much anymore. He is no longer on An american label. When he was on akon's label in 2008 his album didnt sell much. Plus he Doesn't talk much about materialism or violence so i guess he wasnt liked that much by the American market. I think if he debuted to An American audience in the eay 2000's it would've been different.

It did big time in Canada. It should have crossed over though imo but I don’t think American stations gave it a chance. I remember watching this video every day on rap city/much music. Same with “She look like a movie star, like a chocolate candy bar” movie star by Rascalz. Both catchy hit songs that should have crossed over and would have been hits in the states.
