Thrust wasn’t all that either if we’re being real. Ironically Thrust did the best on this particular track trying his best to sound like B.I.G. And pulling it off pretty good.

@@KillaSin515 i didnt say that canada ruled hip-hop at that time. I said it was a golden era for us. And new york was not on top back then. It was the south that was on top and hip-hop suffered because of it. There was a reason that nas dropped the album 'hip-hop is dead' during the bling bling era.
@KillaSin5154 жыл бұрын
@@africaRBG Nas dropped that album in 2006. This is late 90s early 2000. NY was still on top. The South was just starting. By the way...this song came out in 98. So yes. NY was still on top.
@africaRBG4 жыл бұрын
@@KillaSin515 what is the late 90s early 2000s ? In the late 90s the south was ascending already with master p, mystikal, juvenile, manny fresh, lil wayne, outkast etc. They were on top in the 2000s. Yes, nas dropped the album in 2006, which is the mid 2000s. And he dropped it for a reason, having seen the trend thus far of commercial hip-hop in the 2000s, which was coming primarily from the south.

I got to say it changed the rest of the day with a smile because this song epitomizes our high school years and our long standing friendship.
