Karelian song on jouhikko - Lähtin minä mäelle (I went up the hill)

Not sure about the origin of the song, reads like a traditional one, but could be "modern" too. Recorded somewhere in 1950s-1960s from a woman living in the village of Vedlozero/Vieljärvi.

Lähtin minä mäelle, - I went up the hill,
Nouzin järven rannalle. - Arrived to the lake shore.
Rannal oli lauttaine, - There was a raft near the shore,
Lautas istui brihaine. - A boy sat on the raft.
Briha oli čomaine, - The boy was handsome,
Pääle ruskei paidaine, - in a red shirt,
Käes pidi raagastu, - Held a fish-rod,
Ongitti häi kalastu. - Fishing he was.
Briha päähuön käännäldi, - The boy turned his head,
Minun rannal dogadi, - Saw me on the shore,
Da gu minun tunnusti ga, - He recognized me,
Dazo silmät haaristi. - and - And opened his eyes wide in suprise.
Kerran yhtes armoin ker, - Once with my beloved,
Loimmo heinää pajon ker, - We were binding the hay,
A jälles raadoo ereimmo, - After work we left,
I toine toizen kaimaimmo. - And accompanied each other.
Tämän jälles jogä sääl, - From that day in any weather,
Kävimmö yhtes mäjen pääl, - We went up the hill
Yhte kalaa pyuvimmö, - To fish,
A nygöi yhtes elämmö. - And now we live together.
