As a teenager, my stepdad introduced me to the music of Yanni and Karen was and is his favorite out of all of the other musicians featured! Karen is brilliant! Such a phenomenal violinist! ❤️

Very inspiring to know she took up violin in school. That Yanni performance is one that took my appreciation for contemporary music to another level. Being heavy into the hip-hop scene coming out of NYC at the time, I remember seeing that Within Attraction performance as a battle and Karen kicking arse. It really opened my mind and eyes.

all i can say is lady briggs u are a treasure i played violin and viola throughout elementary and high school i am now 38 years old and your music and specifically your tribute performance with yanni made me forget the bullying that made me stop playing as an african American string instruments became an embarrassment to me and u inspired me to take my place in music again and for the record i still have me original viola and violin over all these years and im in love with my music again😁😁😁👍
