One of the things I really admired about Karen Carpenter was that there were no showy mannerisms on stage - just pure music making with a gorgeous voice and total sincerity. She will live on forever - no doubt about that.

Karen shed light on what anorexia was really about. It wasn't used too much before that from my recollection. Karen touched all of us through her voice. Personally, I can relate because I'm a drummer, sang in a choir, and my birthday is the same as hers.

Wow! Thanks so much for putting This up on Karen /the Carpenters. I just recently discovered your KZbin channel this year and like some of the videos you share Steve, most especially one I enjoyed was of " It's awonderful Life".That is a favorite and it's profound message of everyone's life having meaning and purpose, and a prayer was answered in George's favor. God has definitely got good plans for the human race and there is never anything in life that is hopeless.Thank God 🙏! So tonight I was surprised and happy also because I happen to really enjoy Karen's voice and music 🎶and am a fan of their talents .I just saw it was your channel and recognized it. I was a little girl when they were popular and singing but not until I got much older have I appreciated their music and interest in their lives. Thanks for sharing 🙂 .

However, I so LOVE where she is buried and it is so sweet of fans to leave gifts and cards for her. I would visit her grave, but I live 3,000 miles away and I have no way of getting there. Also, I was wondering, I noticed someone left her a Mickey and Minnie Mouse, I know that Karen Carpenter loved Children and I just saw a video of Karen Carpenter with her brother singing in Disneyland! 💖💖💖 Thank you for sharing Karen Carpenter's Family Mausoleum💛💛💛💛 She was a sweet soul with a lovely voice💛💛💛💛🙏🙏🙏!!

I was a teenager as they climbed the charts. Interestingly enough I have the same vocal range as Karen’s. I actually worked at sounding like her . I played piano and was active in vocal music until I graduated. Later I just sang to my babies and in our Folk Group that sang Mass one Sunday a month. My youngest daughter had a fantastic voice and went All State her sr year , competed all over the state, show choir, ensembles you name it. She is much better than j ever dreamed. My son served 4 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and struggled with PTSD and he even asked me to sing to him over the phone at a very stressful point. I owe that moment of trying to comfort my child to Karen and Richard.

What a beautiful video, Steve. Thank you so much, and I was there via the Carpenter 2017 Tour back in March. I flew in on her birthday, March 2nd, and then we toured on the 3rd and 4th, and we were there on that Saturday, the 4th. And you're right, when we got there we could hardly believe the amount of beautiful flowers and Mickey and Minnie Mouse's and angels and cards and pictures and fan letters and on and on and on, with so many who love her still stopping by and visiting her gravesite. Her birthday was March 2nd, so some were wishing her a Happy Birthday as well, but I have seen though through other videos from other fans that it doesn't seem to matter what day you go, there's going to be a lot of flowers and gifts to the one who gave us all such a beautiful gift, herself. We love you, Karen, and thank you so much, Steve. Watching your video made me cry. I still miss her so much. I think I'll go put a record on now. Blessings to you, Steve. And it truly is a beautiful video of the area. It's one of most beautiful cemeteries I've ever seen, just beautiful, and the family Mausoleum is up on a hill. Also, interesting enough, Harry Nilsson was one of her favorite singers and now they are both laid to rest so close in proximity to each other. Maybe they're singing some duets now where they are. I think she would have loved that, and he, too.

Thanks for the kind words and for sharing your experience. I didn't know that Harry Nilsson was one of her favorite singers. Wow, being in the same cemetery must have been meant to be!

I absolutely loved Karen's voice & I've been a fan for years ever since I heard her sing "We've only just begun..." She helped me develop my voice (I learned how to harmonize by singing along) although I don't sing professionally. I was so sad when I heard what happened and how she suffered in her private life. I still love & miss her ... God bless her always !!!!

Thank you very much for uploading this video of where Karen Carpenter is buried while we are still in quarentine. I remember all of their songs very well. It only seemed like yesterday that she was pronounced dead due to an overdosis because her folks, especially her mom, prefered Richard over to her and she made sure that she would lose weight and losing weight made her to die. Who is at fault? Her folks are to blame for it. Rule of thumb: Once the children are adults the parents no longer have any say in the matter. What they can do is to provided sound advise. Please keep inside during this quarentine as much as possible. December 30, 2020 @ 3:40 am ©®

When I was kid in the 1980's I heard about her passing away at the age of thirty two years old and she will be sadly missed by all of her friends and family and she was wonderful in my opinion and her brother Richard is still around

Thank you for doing this video. I was listening to their songs and marveling at her beauty and talent. Whenever I watch her all I can think is that she’s angelic. I hope I can visit her some day. I have no idea why someone would downvote this video. They have to be ignorant is the only conclusion I can come to

I have an alto voice & Karen Carpenter is one of the few people I can sing along with because she sang in a lower key. I just love the Carpenters. Karen had such a gorgeous voice & their harmonies were always so beautiful. Thanks for another great video Steve!
