Also, starting a business is expensive. Funny story, one night I was almost asleep when my wife came in and jumped in bed. Didn't think anything of it and was again starting to nod off when I felt a slap across my face. I was a little shocked (my wife and I didnt have any arguments lately or really got so mad at each other that would escalate to that response) but ignored it and tried to go back to sleep. After awhile I felt another harder slap on my face! I then sat up and asked why the heck she was slapping me? She then told me I was snoring in my sleep and that she always does that to make me stop😂. She doesn't do that anymore but at the time it was shocking and hilarious to me that she did that.

*Story 2:* The OP made a major concession to facilitate the move to Europe, the girlfriend did none so far and expects him to do more. Story 2. Drop the girl man. In your early twenties you need to focus on getting yourself established. A good job and being as financially stable as you possibly can be. Giving up your dream at 22 years old for a girl that you've only been with for 2 years would be the worst mistake of your entire life. And if she really wants you to give up your dream just for her shows that she's never really considered your feelings. I have been in these things (Hurricanes) FIVE times. They are NOT a joke at all. When they tell you to get the h*ll, YOU GOT THE H*LL OUT. You also prepare for these things beforehand. Been there, done that.

Story 2 Dude should leave her now. She obviously has zero consideration for him. Not only is she asking him to give up his career and move to a small town but she never even so much as discussed it before arbitrarily changing the plan they'd both agreed on. That's a huge red flag. The second giant red flag is she isn't interested in compromise. He already brought up his incredibly valid concerns and she blew them off saying he should just work for her. I would say it might be a hard truth but she's not that into him. She's probably just there still because it's convenient. The smart move is to say hey we are not on the same page and it's been a great two years but I am not giving up my plans for the future and you aren't willing to even compromise yours so it's best we part as friends and just cheer each other on.

Oh my god that first story had a moment that reminded me of my first encounter with a karen at work. I work at a restaurant as a host, and it was kind of a busy day. Our girl who was bagging to-go orders was new as well so that didn't help our situation. Well, this lady came in to pick up her online order, and she left right after that. Seemed like a nice lady but hoo boy was I wrong with that assumption. She called in and I gave the signature customer service greeting line and she tells me she got an order of Cajun chicken that she didn't order, as well as not receiving her burger. Now I was going to have the kitchen remake her food no questions asked. But I wanted to make sure that she wasn't given a different order entirely. We use stickers to put the ticket with the name on the bag, and I wanted to be sure that the tickets weren't put on the wrong bag. So, I grabbed a dry erase marker and asked her to go over what was in her bag and would take notes on the counter. She said, "well that doesn't matter now does it?" So I calmly explain why I asked and once again asked if she could tell me what was in her bag. It wouldn't take a genius to figure out why I was asking and why is it so hard to just answer? So she kept saying that she got the chicken and not her burger and wouldn't tell me what else she had. I even told her I was going to have her food remade, I just needed to make sure I didn't need anything else from a different order to also be remade. So, she again, repeats what she's been saying but also says, "I don't know how many more times I have to say it!" and kind of laughed about it. At this point I was very annoyed, and that comment made me really mad since I was just trying to do my job. So, I replied, "Ma'am there's no need to get disrespectful." Yeah, she didn't like that. She tried to defend herself and then said, "You know what? I want to talk to a manager and get a refund instead of coming to get my food." Thank god. I didn't want to keep dealing with her. So I went and got my manager, told her the story, and she told me to get her name and tell her we'll refund it. Great. So, I went back up front and took her off hold and told her our manage would get her name and we'd refund it. She went silent for a minute and went, "I think you need more training in customer service. I've worked in it before, and your priority should be the person on call." So I again explained why I was asking and she kept repeating the same thing. In my defense, we actually did have an order of cajun chicken on another online order, so I was worried they got her burger and not their chicken. Then she proceeded to say, "I get you're worried about her and wanting to make sure she's okay, but her needs are not my problem." Excuse me? Isn't me being worried about customers EXACTLY what good customer service should be? So she goes into this long rant about how she thinks she saw this person walk out with her burger. 1. People can order the same thing. 2. They are in white togo bags and boxes that aren't see through. So unless she's superwoman she didn't see jack shiz. So at that point I'd had enough and said, "Our manager will refund your order bye!" and hung up. She then kept calling back and we kept hanging up. So to make sure our manager wouldn't get angry, I went and explained what happened and she said the next time she called she would take it. And take it she did. She was on the phone with her for a good ten minutes and apparently from what I heard walked out of the office and said "mother trucker." Glad to know it wasn't just me. And for context, I've been working there for over a year now and haven't had a single complaint on my service. I always have a smile on and all my coworkers like me. Even my managers. From what I'm told they brag about me and they don't even check my outs when I close anymore. Even our general manager doesn't. I'm also autistic. So for me all of that feedback means a lot since I'm socially awkward naturally. So it's just funny to me how I've been told I'm the nicest person in the place, and this lady tried to tell me to work on my customer service. But yeah. That's my story. And the lady saying the hurricane wasn't her problem is what reminded me of this whole situation.
