I agree with you if you are allergic and Expect your Neighbours to not have pets even though it’s there home and yard that they bought and own then you are a jerk and entitled. Sorry you have an allergy but it’s my home. Now that said if your cat is an inside outside cat that would wonder into that neighbours yard while they are allergic to the cat I think it be common courtesy to keep that cat is in the door cat or make a catdio so the cat can’t wonder to highly allergic neighbours yard. Maybe not a ranch but a place with wider lot size should of been this persons first goal in home hunting. Or living in pet free apartment or condo

I don't believe OP's story one bit about asking every neighbor about not getting a dog or even to the extent of their allergies. If they were inside, of course, their allergies would kick off. Outside, very unlikely, unless they live next door to a dog kennel. Many times I have seen people bring their pets and service animals in stores. Does this person have someone going shopping for them because their pet allergies are debilitating enough to prevent them from doing so? Most likely not.

I'm sympathetic to people with allergies as I have a few myself. Some can't be treated by medication, but rather avoiding what causes them. Telling a neighbor who doesn't live in the same building as them not to get a dog due to allergies is acting really entitled. If an apartment building allows pets, telling a neighbor they can't have pets also makes them an entitled jerk. If someone can't be around animals, they should either try to see if any medication can help reduce the symptoms, move to a building that doesn't allow pets or move to a rural area where the nearest house is a mile away. To dictate that no one in the neighborhood is allowed to have dogs is really pathetic.

Story #5: OP is definitely the jerk for expecting his neighbors to go out of their way to cater to his needs without even trying to meet them halfway (by taking allergy medicine, etc) . That sucks that he has allergies but that doesn't entitle him to dictate what his neighbors do on their own property or what pets they decide to own. I have an autoimmune disease that I have to take medication for which does come with its own side effects. It sucks but it's something that I have to live with. I also have ADHD which I used to take medication for until the side effects became too severe. The ADA gives me certain accommodations which mostly helps with school but it doesn't help in every area that I'm affected in and I've had no choice but to learn habits that helped me cope and build up skills to enable me to be a lot more competent in areas where I was previously weak in and stay employed. At the end of the day, he's got options like putting up fencing to cover the front yard, setting up air purifiers in his home, taking allergy medication, or simply just selling his home and moving to a condo in an HOA run building with a strict no-pet policy. At the end of the day, nobody cares about your problems, especially when catering to them will put an unreasonable burden on other people , so the OP needs to stop acting like an entitled baby and take responsibility over their own health.

story with the dog Well, first of all, I don't think it's so unreasonable to ask if you could possibly be considerate of your neighbors It's nothing bad at first, but on the other hand, I have to be honest and if people want pets, they wouldn't stop them now Because the way you are considerate of me and my needs, I have to be considerate of you and your needs, and if you include needs, I want a dog Then I can't say no because of my allergy And to be honest, I don't know how bad the allergy is because, for example, I have a lactose intolerance, which is technically not an allergy Actually, only babies should drink milk and no adults, but that doesn't matter and I take lactose tablets They don't always work 100%, but 99% is a good level I would say and depending on how bad this allergy is, take a pill once you've got it over with And if the pill doesn't work then ask your doctor what kind of medication might work Tension itself, the doctor should know what medication should work for your specific energy And then everyone is happy and then you invite this cricket over My device is fun especially when we are doing with friends But you ask her not to take the dog with her and to use a hairbrush so not to bring these pick-up things and any particles of the dog with the two house Because as I said you have an allergy and I think they will take that into consideration

I would definitely take a neighbor's allergies when getting a pet like a dog or a cat, but the change I'd make would be to look into getting a hypoallergenic breed, like a Chinese crested dog or sphinx cat. This is because they either don't generate the allergins that trigger the reactions or have less or no hair to not let them build up to a noticeable concentration. Poodles and Yorkshire terriers are also hypoallergenic because their coats are made out of the same kind of hair as what grows out of a human scalp, also preventing allergins from affecting allergy-afflicted people. Alternatively, you could get hairless breeds like the Mexican Xoloitzcuintle dog, which can be shortened to Xolo, and the previously mentioned sphinx cat.

And it wouldn't be such a big deal, but I just don't like the way it sounds. So I asked them repeteadly (and nicely, I was never mean about it) to pronounce my name correctly. But they didn't seem to care. They would even spell my name as Anna on various documents (which could have led to serious problems), although they knew my full name was Anastasia. I honestly don't know why some people are like that. It's really frustrating.
